Jesse is a combination of tragic and explosive emotion

Shakespeare wrote male characters like this, showing us both the beauty and cruelty of the human soul. Jesse is a has been model who knows her days are numbered but still under the fireworks show of Laguna Beach she lets loose her tender side which has long been guarded and kept away.
This is a series of short stories - Barnes and Noble only shows three but the author notes seven, perhaps more to come?

Sins you don't want to die of- looking in the mirror

This short story is about a Salvadoranean girl who comes to America as an illegal and her only skill is her physical beauty. Jesse the image of those empty gorgeous faces and lovely movie star bodies we all idolize. Perhaps she's the beautiful young wife sleeping next to you ready to explode and throw a tantrum. Even though I first thought her spoiled there is still something graceful and redeeming in her dark spirit.

    Beauty falling through Time

The story is suspenseful. It is somewhat poetic. She's not an aging camillia, she's a stone hearted stunner. I really liked this short novella. Descriptions of Laguna Beach grabbed me in the start. The location is like the character. A new author whose writing is worth acclaim.
