Meet the Author

Rob Rains is the author or co-author of 19 books, including Ozzie Smith's autobiographies, Wizard (1988) and Ozzie Smith: The Road to Cooperstown, published by Sports Publishing in 2002 to commemorate Smith's induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. He is also the co-author of Jack Buck: That's a Winner!, published by Sports Publishing. A former National League beat writer for USA Today Baseball Weekly, his most recent book is Sports Publishing's 2003 release, Beyond Xs and Os: My Thirty Years in the NFL with Jim Hanifan.

This has got to be one of the best sports books that I have read. My dad John Tudor is depicted in a way that I recognize everyday! Rob rains did a wonderful job showing what it is like for ex pros today! if you like sports and baseball and old players read this book!
