Editorial Reviews

Two Lips Reviews
"Josh Lanyon combines suspense, drama and hot sex in Cards on the Table. It kept me riveted to the pages of this book. Tim is a writer and shy, but when he takes his clothes off, he becomes hotter than sin. Jack is confused at first, but his feelings for Tim seem to overwhelm him into action. And Jack wont let anyone kill his lover before Jack can understand what he feels for Tim. Cards on the Table has a little of something for everyone and you will not be sorry you read this one!"
Philadephia News - Gary M. Kramer
"... a near-perfect mystery. Suspenseful, sexy and with just enough characters and diversions to keep readers guessing."
Book Utopia
"..a colorful cast of supporting characters and a romantic interest that felt wonderfully human to me. Jack is at varying times hard as a rock or so vulnerable I wanted to give him a hug. He reacts in realistic ways which means he doesnt always make the nice guy choice but hes probably one of the nicest guys Ive read by Lanyon so far."

I read "Cards on the Table" as part of Lanyon's M/M Mystery box set. I thoroughly enjoyed this mystery/romance. Tim is a great protagonist: driven, curious, and intelligent. He also has a big heart, which is in danger of being broken by Jack. I totally liked Jack, too; he's a tough cop, but he has a big soft spot for Tim. It was nice to see how he showed his love and affection for Tim without actually saying the words out loud. It's unlikely, but I hope that Lanyon will write more books about Tim and Jack. They make a great team. -- lyradora

I read this as part of the six book set. It was under a different title, I think. It was good, a little different from most of Josh's books. But with Josh you can't go wrong.
