    Highly Recommended

    I bought these books for my 8 year old. She was hesitant to read them; but I have found her reading and re-reading them. I think they are a great introduction into how to handle situations and even opens an avenue for us to discuss what she reads. Good job!

    Highly Recommended - whether it's your daughter or grandaughter.

    I purcahsed this and a couple more books for my 10 year old granddaughter who will start middle school next fall. She is already going through some of the changes expected at this age and finding out how unkind other girls can be. I see it affecting her self esteem and her attitude. What a wonderful combination American Girl did here with this collection. I have not yet given the gift to granddaughter, am waiting for the right time when we are together, as we live in different states. I know she is going to enjoy the books and journals that come in this collection!

    great discussion starter

    A friend of my daughter's brought this book over one sleepover nite. It prompted great discussion between the girls and myself, so much so my daughter wanted her own copy. The girls have referenced it numerous times. I so appreciate open, healthy conversations on growing up topics. This is a great tool for facilitating that.
