Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
Champ Bear has decided that it is a perfect day for baseball and he wants to teach all of his friends how to play. Way up there on the puffy clouds, he starts. First he shows Good Luck Bear how to pitch and then Cheer Bear leans about batting. They do not actually get to play because Champ Bear is busy demonstrating all of the techniques including running around the bases and catching the ball. He is a nine man team all by himself. The other bears decide that this is not much fun. Share Bear comes up with the obvious solution—lets all play as a team—and they did. A Level 2 reader described as one that has appropriate vocabulary and sentence length for beginning readers. 2004, Scholastic, Ages 2 to 5.
