Icefire had a sympathetic look on her face. "We should get back to camp." She meowed. "Maybe Blackfeather needs to get used to all the new cats." She murmered in Lily's ear. "I know there is some tom out there just waiting." She added.

She glanced down at her pelt. A few scratches and a torn claw were the only "injuries". "Im good," she meowed.

Moosetail raced into the hunting grounds he was familiar to and sunk down by a tree. "I'm home, but things will never be the same." He groaned and tried to swallow the grief. You're here to hunt, he reminded himself.
The brown tom pushed himself up and looked around. He opened his jaw and nearly immediately the scent of rabbit filled his jaw. His training kicking in, the tom crouched. He followed the trail until he was about 30 yards away and then sprinted. The rabbit detected him and began sprinting away. Too late though. Moosetail was releasing his grief through hunting and running, so the rabbit stood no chance. After a pounce and a clean snap of the neck, life was drained from it.
Moosetail looked around and oddly spotted a finch. He crouched and crept forwards, trying to stay out of sight. As he got close his shadow laid on the bird and it began to flutter. Too late. Another pounce and bite to the neck. Gone.
Just as he open his jaw, the tom spotted the nearby thunderpath. Moosetail froze and shuddered. Soon, he snapped out of his trance and picked up his prey, not feeling like hunting anymore. The prey swinging in his jaw, Moosetail headed back to camp.
