Caribou [Explicit Lyrics]

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Glitzy showmanship fuels Caribou and the shiny surface of the album is alluring, although only a few tracks on the record rank among John's best work. "The Bitch Is Back" is one of his best hard rock cuts, and "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" is one of his classic ballads. While the rest of the album has its share of filler or competent genre exercises, "Pinky" is a fine ballad and "Dixie Lily" is an endearing stab at country.

    My favorite Elton album

If you are an Elton John fan (and you must be, or you probably wouldn't be looking at this), this is truly a great album. This and the two other albums I listed are my three favorite Elton CDs, and I have over 30. goodmorningstarshine loves Elton! Don't listen to the professional reviewer above. Even the relatively silly 'Solar Prestige a Gammon' isn't a completely silly song. Elton, who was persecuted for trying to 'corrupt youth', told Taupin to write whatever nonsense he could think up so that people couldn't criticize them. Even though they did this, they still got in trouble because their song aparently mentioned 'five fishes'(sp) in some other language. I really like 'I've Seen the Saucers" for some reason. Give it a listen. I originally bought the album for the song 'Ticking' which I saw him perform in concert, which was awesome.

    Your Song is my song

Elton John is without a doubt one of, if not the greatest singer/song writer/entertainer of our time. Whenever Elton comes out with a new cd, it's an instant hit and soon to be a classic. A true genius.

    underrated album

Who are the idiots from ''All Music Guide'' who write these silly reviews? They have no credibility. They call Lucy in the Sky...filler? lol It only went to #1!! As true rock fans know...Cold Highway and Sick City are amazing songs. Also, have you ever heard Your So Static live? I have. Buy this album. I've Seen the Saucers is also chilling.
