Meet the Author

PIERRE WAGNER is 'Maître de conférences' at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and a member of the IHPST, France and former Fellow of école normale supérieure of Paris, doctor in philosophy. His publications include la Machine en logique (1998), les Philosophes et la science (editor, 2002), la Philosophie des sciences (2 vols) (co-editor with Laugier, 2004), l'Âge d'or de l'empirisme logique (co-editor with Bonnet, 2006), la logique (2007), Mathématiques et expérience, 1918–1940 (co-editor with Jacques Bouveresse, 2008) and Carnap's logical Syntax (2009).
