Editorial Reviews

School Library Journal - School Library Journal
Gr 3-5-- A biography of the woman who designed Caroline Kennedy's wedding gown and evening dresses for Nancy Reagan. Born in Venezuela, Herrera was brought up in a wealthy family and lived a comfortable life. Riehecky discusses her subject's interest in fashion as a child, her two marriages, and her children. The book is filled with photos of Herrera as a beautiful child, a stunning ingenue, and a mature woman. Unfortunately, they are all in black and white, an odd choice for such a colorful topic. A well-done, current, and interesting book. --Eowana Bradley Jordan, Westgate Elementary School, Manassas, VA
