    Not as good as some of her others...

    I am a big fan of Mariah Stewart's books but did not find this as satisfying as some of her others. I think the message is there and I agree that a job is better than a career. Too many people want a career and give themselves to it completely. A career is not a life and Abby and Alex found that in time. The idea of young love spanning a separation of 10 years is also refreshing. Admittedly Ms. Stewart had some unusual twists in the storyline that kept you interested and all is well that ends well. I loved Abby and Alex and Belle ( "Gran") was a hoot. Neighbor Naomi adds a lot to the book and overall I guess I would recommend it to a friend... I usually rate a book by the number of "sittings" it takes to read it... One sitting - Excellent, 2 Very Good and this one took me three sittings over two days to finish. Yeah, its a good read.

    Totally LOVED this book. It's one of those reads that takes you right into the story. It was hard to put the book down. My daughter read it and loved it as well. Reminded us of "Color of Light". It's a heart-warming, small town, down to earth... feel good book. It reminds you of what's important in life. Abby leaves a high-paying, big city job to return to her childhood roots in a small town in the South. Find out if she rekindles a romance with her childhood sweetheart. Loaded with characters that make you smile. GREAT read!!
