    a true must read!!!

    my children and i never agree on books but all 3 of us read this book within 2 days. i sometimes work 10 hour days and they are both full time students w/after school activities and chores but we found every available second to read it.. fantastic work!! ashley and jaquavis are great together. they may venture out to do some work on apart but please continue to team-up and indulge us with your wonderful and dramatic style. this book is not for the church going, suburbians. this book is full of suspense and a definite thriller. DRUGS, POWER, DEATH and THUG LOVE. the male characters are the type of men that most women want in their lives, rugged, handsome, sexy and can handle their business.. the kind that make you weak in the knees by him just looking at you. Now there were parts of the book that caught you off guard based on how intense the drama was but you would became more captivated waiting to see who would make the next move and how.

    Déjà vu

    "The Cartel" falls between the good, the bad and the ugly. Using the street lit handbook and a predictable plot line, this novel will have you glued to your seat.

    Someone younger or newer to the genre would welcome the mixture of drama and violence and enjoy this novel. For me, those are the exact problems I found with this novel.

    This difference in opinion simply could be chalked up to my reading resume. I've read a lot and at this point I expect a little more, particularly creativity and originality. Realism doesn't hurt either.

    "The Cartel" will have some readers enthralled. For those who crave a little more depth, it's an okay read - nothing new or exceptional but readable.

    Much Needed

    I must agree...i stopped reading Urban Fiction for a while also...but after reading the cover of this book, my attention was peaked....this book was great...definitely a page turner. It was definitely much needed...can't wait for the 2nd one to hit the stores

    Nice read

    I realy enjoyed the Cartel. I am so ready to star part two. I liked all the characters and everyone played a good role. Tht Mecca though is something else!!! Good read. I laughed at the Scarface scene too..

    The Cartel

    The Cartel is a hell of a book! For those of yall that read this a book to pick up. The more i read the better it gets. I don't want it to end. They should but all 3 books together and make it one!

    Awesome Page Turner!!!

    This book was totally outside my normal reading material, and I some had difficultly adjusting to the urban slang. However, it didn't take long for me to understand the dialogue, and submerge myself into their characters. It was definitely a page turner for me. I Enjoyed It!!!

    THIS BOOK WAS OFF THE HOOK

    I LOVED THIS BOOK IT WAS A PAGE TURNER TO THE FULLEST. IM A FULL TIME MOTHER AND STILL FOUND THE TIME TO READ WHILE EVERYONE WAS ASLEEP LOL... THE ONLY THING I DIDNT LIKE WAS THE CLIFF HANGER I HATE THAT IN ALL BOOKS SO THATS JUST ME OTHER THAN THAT A MUST MUST MUST READ
