This is a great book for anyone learning animation or for those who already know the art form. I'm currently learning but the mentors I talk to (all in the gaming or movie industry) insist that this book is in your library. They still reference it to this day. I found the drawing examples nice but not really useful for me since most of what I do is in 3D (all though I do sketch out my planning, so it helped for information on basic shapes). I think it's interesting, but the meat of the book, which definitely crosses to any medium, was the second half - the animation. A great read, great examples and it definitely inspired me to think about all my poses and movements while animating. If you're looking for a must have book to add to your animation library, I definitely recommend this book. I have a decent collection of animation books and this is one I'll be referencing more than the rest.
This was my text book in school. Very good book. Helped me out not only in animation, but in drawing all together.
I go to college for animation and we had a visiting Disney animator at our school who said that this is the book to get if you want to be an animator. I then purchased it and the book is very helpful and a wonderful source for getting better in the animation field.
