About the Author

Peta Motture is senior curator of sculpture at the V&A. Emma Jones is a PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge whose research focuses on the commissioning of sculpture and workshop practice in 16th-century Venice. Dimitrios Zikos is an independent art historian who has published extensively on Florentine and Flemish sculptors.
