Cassidy
Cassidy is a dark buckskin who has a very special boss. His boss is Abraham Lincoln, the president of the United States. President Lincoln has an important decision to make, and he decides to confide in Cassidy. He sneaks out of his home and visits his good friend in his stall. Cassidy hears about the president’s desire to abolish slavery. He listens to the president’s fears about what might happen if others object. Finally, Cassidy decided. He stomped his hoof and nodded his head. That’s when Abraham Lincoln jumped to his feet and said, “You’re right, Cassidy. Our nation was formed with courage and strong beliefs on the equality of all men.”
