Meet the Author

Elise Stokes lives with her husband and four children. She was an elementary school teacher before becoming a full-time mom. With a daughter in middle school and two in high school, Elise’s understanding of the challenges facing girls in that age range inspired her to create a series that will motivate girls to value individualism, courage, integrity, and intelligence. The stories in Cassidy Jones Adventures are fun and relatable, and a bit edgy without taking the reader uncomfortably out of bounds.

Wow! A great addition to the Cassidy Jones series!
I love to read books that are parts of a series. I like re-visiting characters that I have come to enjoy spending time with and care about. I really like books with plot and character driven action. This book has all those in spades. Cassidy Jones seems to be just getting in the groove of life as a mutant when she is faced with her strongest challenge yet. In fact, she has challenges in both her life as a budding mutant super hero and on the romantic/personal front. If one is not knocking her for a loop, the other is. Join in the fun and pick up Cassidy Jones and the Seventh Attendant. If you've already read the first two books in the series, you have to follow up with this, latest addition. It is full of enough action and plot twists to make you stay up until the wee hours to finish it. (At least that's what happened to me.)

I completely enjoyed this fun…fun…fun series! Elise Stokes is an author to watch! Her characters are relatable and dialogue witty. Cassidy is an unlikely hero that pre-teen girls will love and relate to as they follow her adventures to save the world. This series has it all, adventure, excitement, family values and a bit of romance laced with teen angst. I haven’t been this excited about a series in a long time!

The Seventh Attendant is the third book in the series and does not disappoint! In the first book Cassidy is infected with a retrovirus that changes her DNA and turns her into a superhero. In this installment she is chasing to recover a microchip before it gets into the wrong hands. Surrounded by family and friends who don’t know her secret, except of course Emery and his mom, Cassidy tries to balance saving the world with passing algebra. Her approach to life will bring smiles to your face; she is truly a lovable heroine!

Elise Stokes is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors, I love her work! This series deserves your attention, and I highly recommend it for all the middle schoolers’ in your life.

These books just keep getting better and better! In Stokes' 3rd

These books just keep getting better and better! In Stokes' 3rd installment of the Cassidy Jones adventure, our heroine really grows, as a person AND as a superhero. The plot is fast moving and multifaceted, mixing in elements of teen angst, adventure, romance, kindness, social awareness, and just plain badassery!
I also couldn't help noticing how much Stokes has grown as a writer. While Cassidy slowly evolves into a more kind and courageous human being, Stokes' prose get more and more lyrical, her sentence structure more solid than ever. It almost seems as if author and protagonist are taking their incredible journey together. I am seriously impressed by where this series is going and would highly recommend it anyone. It's a fast paced page turner that has surprises lurking around every corner. I can't wait for the fourth book!

Cassidy Jones strikes again in this fantastic third book of the Cassidy Jones Adventure Series! Many lovable characters return in this thrilling third book, as well as new, and just as brilliant, characters are introduced to the Cassidy Jones gang. With exciting twist and turns this book was difficult to put down. The love triangle between Cassidy, Emery, and Jarod is much more prominent. Which brings up the concerns of who will Cassidy choose, cool and collected Emery or sweet and protective Jarod. I love them both! Whether it is the struggles of school or the issues of new found mutant abilities, Cassidy is never dull. If you loved the first two books, you'll absolutely adore the third. the question that remains is, who is Gavin Phillips? Read it and find out.

It took me a little bit to compose my thoughts on Cassidy's latest adventure. I'm Team Emery, but Stokes actually got me to like Jared in this book. I kept banging my head wondering why if Cassidy is so enamored by Emery, why is she still thinking about Jared? It hit me as I read a scene when Cassidy is talking to her friend. Cassidy doesn't believe Emery has those kind of feelings for her, so she keeps her feeling for Jared alive. With the other two books, we didn't seem to see too much of Jared or maybe I just didn't want to see him. This novel solidified the love triangle for me.
As for Cassidy's role in the Seventh Attendant, wow, it blew me away. Such a unique idea and it worked so well throughout the entire story. I was positive I knew who the bad guy was. A twist here and a turn there had me in complete shock at the outcome.
I have never had such a physically visceral reaction to any other story I've read. I felt an ache when Cassidy was hurt, fear when her life was in jeopardy, and happiness when she made through another day. A solid five star adventure.
Thank you so much to Elise Stokes for providing me with a review copy and for giving me chance to go on another adventure with Cassidy. I loved the first two books, but this one soars on a level of it's own.
