Overview

A thousand years ago, the Eleven Domains were invaded and the original inhabitants were driven onto the road as Travelers, belonging nowhere, welcomed by no one.

Now the Domains are governed with an iron fist by the Warlords, but there are wilder elements in the landscape that cannot be controlled and that may prove the Warlords' undoing. Some are spirits of place - of water and air and fire and earth. Some are greater than these. And some are human.

Bramble: A village girl whom no one living can tame, forced to flee her home for a crime she did not commit.

Ash: A safeguarder's apprentice who must kill for an employer he cannot escape.

Saker: An enchanter who will not rest until the land is returned to his people.

As their three stories unfold, along with the stories of those whose lives they touch, it becomes clear that they are bound together in ways that not even a stonecaster could have foreseen - by their past, their future, and their blood.

This omnibus edition includes all three novels - Blood Ties, Deep Water, and Full Circle - together for the first time.

    Highly Recommended

I ran across this book in a University bookstore and decided to take a chance on it. It is a page turner from start to finish! Couldn't put it down. The author's artistry transports you into the world of Bramble, Ash and Saker. I highly recommend this book to fantasy fiction readers!

    Great read, very good worldbuilding

A very interesting world that felt very fleshed out. I loved the side buts of information Freeman included through the side stories which seemed random at first but make perfect sense at the end and are beautifully included in the conclusion. This was a very good series and I can't wait to read it again. If you are a fan of well thouht out fantasy read this series!

    Boring

Boring. 180 pages in and nothing of importance has happened. Each chapter keeps flipping back and forth between characters who have had no interaction with each other so there is no flow to the book.

    Excellent read

Very well written. Great character development. Excellent story. I enjoy Freeman's writing style. You get to see the first person perspective of all the main characters. She even takes excursions into the lives of the minor players along the way which I really enjoyed. It filled the story out so much more and really immersed you in the world of the Eleven Domains. A little like some short stories a long the way. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that the ending was a little lacking for me. I would definitely recommend this book though.

    more from this reviewer

A good story and worth the time and effort.

I really like the fact that you have the whole story in one book. I hadn't read Pamela Freeman before and I was pleasantly suprised. So, take some time out from your busy schedule and indulge in some escapism.

    LOVED IT!

I enjoyed these three books thoroughly. The ending is emotional, both happy and sad, but it does leave you wondering about Bramble and her beau. I hope that in the books to follow it explains her ending. I look forward to reading more from this author.
