    more from this reviewer

For anyone who loves their cat.

Now let me say, I was never a 'cat' person. I always thought they were ornery, annoying, and no fun like a dog was. When my apartment only allowed cats, and I was lonely, i decided to get one. When Kitty came into my life, my eyes have never been opened so brightly. He wasn't my pet, he IS my child. I am his mom, and I would do anything to protect him. People think I am crazy when I taught him about to play fetch, cried the first time he got a hairball and I thought he was dying, and especially when we took daily walks outside, with his leash and collar. If you have a pet child like this, I HIGHLY suggest you to read this book.
It's all about amazing cat stories, and how the owners had such a connection with them. Like the cat lucky, he and his other kitty friend literally used their bodies against a lightning surge to protect their owner, which is a miracle. And the first story, of Mahgy, the cat who had a temper, but had a reason why. I read this book in two hours, i don't think I have laughed and cried so fast. ANd it just opened my heart up more to loving my cat, and all other cats out there.

Brings tears to your eyes and warmth to your heart!

As someone who is completely obsessed with cats, I strive to make people see that CATS ARE NOT EVIL!!! With this book I can prove this to non-believers: cats risking their lives to protect their owners or other pet companions, saving people's lives by alerting them to danger, rekindling hope and understanding of this chaotic world to their humans' hearts. These stories are beautiful, inspiring, tear-jerking masterpieces. No cat lover should go without this book!

    Great Read

I thoroughly enjoyed this book - the stories become quite gripping at times. Having owned and loved several cats, I know the realism of the adventures so fluently portrayed here by the authors. I recommend this book to anyone, cat lover or not.

I have nine felines...and a story of my own

But theyre all outdoor. This book though i havnt bought it yet reminded me of my own ones. Now listen, we own farmland with goats and a creek. Whenever i go out further than the sight of the house i take a staff/pole. But thats not all cause either one to all nine of the cats follow me to protect me. And they do so its like a patrol and they stratigically place themselves around me every time to safeguard me. Against a water moccisain or copperhead or rattler snake or snapping turtle. Its brave and amazing and you wouldnt believe it untill you saw it happen! They would give their lives up for mine. A bond is great between myself and my felines. I figure that if you have nine you dont need a dog!

This is a great Night Stand Book

In a world where all around is apparent madness, this is a perfect book to read from just before going to sleep. It is well written, with a quick easy style that is typical of Hanson and Steiger. The stories are both interesting and uplifting, with nothing that will bring about any uneasy dreams. Only buy this book if you enjoy reading in bed, the company of cats or getting a great nights sleep.
