Inheriting unexpected millions has left reporter Jim Qwilleran looking like the cat who swallowed the canary. I have read every book in the series at least three times. I had all of the books in hard cover and paper back, but I relocated into smaller quarters and gave most of my books away, the library and a charity. So, I am replacing my favorites on my NOOK Tablet so that I can re-read them at my leisure. I love this series. I love cats, I happen to be a Tonkineese lover, but they are so like the old fashioned Siamese. This is a series that makes you feel like part of the family. I was so sorry when the series ended with the author's death. I had been reading the books since she published the third book in the early 1980's. I recommend the series to anyone who loves cats and a playful mystery. They make a wonderful read on quiet summer day. Of course, I read them all year round, but I admit that I most enjoyed them lounging under a tree in the back yard on a beautiful summer day. Try reading the series in order, it makes the experience more fun. You will fall in love with Jim and his two furry side-kicks as well.

Under the two rocks that held up the High Log, lily stalks grew around the opening the rocks created. Inside the ground was extra soft with moss and flowers. It was warm and would be the hardest to reach if intruders ever dared invade Horseclan. Larg nests were made for queens and their families, and sticks and mossballs waited to entertain tiny kits. -Nursery-

I love the series, have read about a dozen Cat Who mysteries so far. Until 2 years ago I didn't even like cats, then adopted two ferals. Now I'm crazy about them. My daughter recommended a Cat Who mystery and I was immediately hooked. Wish they'd make them into a TV show or movie.
