Overview

Catching Fire, the second book in the New York Times bestselling Hunger Games series, is now available with all-new cover art from the feature film!

The second book in the international bestselling Hunger Games series is now a feature film.  Here is the original novel with exciting new movie artwork on the cover. (Original cover version also available.)

Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with fellow district tribute Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their harsh rules. Katniss and Peeta should be happy. After all, they have just won for themselves and their families a life of safety and plenty. But there are rumors of rebellion among the subjects, and Katniss and Peeta, to their horror, are the faces of that rebellion. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge.

Editorial Reviews

Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark won the annual competition described in Hunger Games, but the aftermath leaves these victors with no sense of triumph. Instead, they have become the poster boys for a rebellion that they never planned to lead. That new unwanted status puts them in the bull's eye for merciless revenge by The Capitol. Catching Fire maintains the adrenaline rush of Suzanne Collins' series launch. Now in a special movie tie-in trade paperback and NOOK Book. (P.S. Speaking of adrenaline rushes, the whole world is eagerly anticipating the November 22nd film release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, the sequel to one of the most successful series starters in history.)

Nobody but the different religions and people who dont believe in God basiclly say that God is dead but the world needs to know the only way that they are right here living is God. God should be on your things to thank daily. That's why we are here teaching people that there different gods shall not be worshipped but the ONE true God should be worshipped. ~GND

No where close to the first book. I see where the story is going and I like how it progresses fluidly however not a fan of this book.

Not a masterpiece and a surprisingly uninspired book. I enjoyed the book for a bit but it certainly isn't a book that I would find myself reading again as it has a shallow plot and characters that could be cookie cut from any other book.

The first books were very good. They kept me on the edge of my seat. Couldn't wait to read the second after the first. Good characters I liked; somehow the places and story line were believable. The last book the personalities changed to people that I didn't like and the story in was too violent to be believable. It was disappointing. However I would still read another book she may write?
