The book is okay. The illustrations are beautiful, but I was highly disappointed by the fact that the book only focuses on four colors. The focus of the book is clearly the rainbow, but colors pink and orange are merely mentioned at the end of the book. It feels as if the story was rushed. Barkan could have done a better job.

I bought this book when my daughter was only 4 months. I wanted a touch and feel book with BIG illustrations with BRIGHT colors along with pages she wouldn't be able to destroy easily. SHE LOVES IT. She is now 10 months and it is her favorite book. She always reaches for it when she sees it and knows where the touch and feels are. Once done, she will go back through it again and again. I would recommend this book to anyone. It is short, sweet and the little ones will like it.
