I got this book from the library for my 9 month old baby girl and she absolutely loved it! We read it over and over and she would just sit by herself and look at the pictures, so I had to buy it for her for Christmas!

I originally purchased this book because my 6 month old son loves pop-up books but distroys them, the illustrations were also bright and eye-catching for him. Now, I read it constantly because he loves it. It is the only book I've found that he really responds to! I love the story, short and sweet for little ones so we read it over and over.

The colors in this book are amazing - very vibrant and so many! The pictures are adorable. When you open the book, the caterpillar is 3D (green nylon over springs that closes into the book). On the last page, a butterfly jumps out and if you open and shut the book a little, it looks like it's flying. I got the book to get my baby's attention, and my toddler loves it too. The actual story (words) are cute, but not fantastic. Still, worth the price, and I usually won't spend this much on a book. I'm normally a $5 and under spender.

This book is so fun to read with you little ones. My son is one and a half and he just loves flipping through the colorful pages. I would read this to him in the car or as a bedtime story. He would always pick it out from all the books on his book shelf. The illustrations are bright and cute. I think this book is perfect for younger kids because the pop-up keeps them engage and wanting to read more. This was in my son Easter basket...great item for gift giving.

I found this book and bought it before my 8 month old daughter was born, because it had beautiful illustrations and a very sweet and original caterpillar!! Now, i cannot get her to sleep until we read the book together, and she sees and touches the characters. My guess is that all infants are bound to love this book. A great gift for a little one.
