Books 1 and 2 were pretty good...after that, the dialogue is ridiculous. I just can't see these verbal exchanges being even close to believeable...I couldn't bring myself to even finish Book 3 and ignored the other 2. Yes, I love a good fiction novel, but this is fiction that's just dopey.
Glad I borrowed from my local library...purchasing would have been a HUGE disappointment and waste of $40. DON'T.DO.IT.
Don't think I'll be able to qualify as a Coulter fan. Sorry. I will have to stick w/ Michael Connelly, Brad Thor, Vince Flynn...MUCH more believeable.

The storyline progresses very nicely thru the first 5 novels. There are some redundant phrases and plot lines ... not sure you would notice if you didn't read all 5 novels back to back.
Although I came to like the male leads...can't say I would want to have lived in the age of male dominance. All this 'taking' of a virgin and how 'powerful' that made the men feel...I could have skipped that part entirely.
But having now read all 10 books...there are 5 more after this group....I would say these are enjoyable reads and you may find yourself wanting to know more about Douglas Sherbrooke and his family.
