Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Leila Toledo
Big cats, such as lions and tigers, and small domestic cats have fascinated people for centuries. Egyptians discovered their usefulness, and made them gods. Out of this, myths and folktales grew. The author provides lots of information about cat anatomy, hair colors and patterns, eyes, teeth, claws and senses. An interesting segment explains cat behavior, especially their territorial nature, hunting prowess, grooming and relationships with other cats and humans. For those who are interested in owning a cat, there is a wealth of information on how to choose a cat, cat care and the necessary equipment to keep your cat happy and healthy. At the end of the book there is a helpful reference about cat breeds and a glossary of terms.
