Overview

Humans think they rule the animal kingdom, but cats know better. Every now and then, humans need a little help, and Max the Cat meets the challenge when his human Kari gets in deep doo-doo after losing her job. His solution? Kari needs a mate – and fast!

KariAnn Ingles loves her big black kitty Max, who seems to understand her so well, she suspects he can read her mind. Unfortunately, Max the Cat is very protective and runs off every date she brings home. As a result, Max is the only man in her life.

Max adores his human Kari. But suddenly she starts spending all day, every day, at home, not bothering to go to work. This seriously cramps his feline lifestyle, and it’s time to take matters into his own paws. Kari needs a mate, and Max is on a big-kitty mission to find her the purrr-fect man – if there is such a creature!

Daniel Cole Jordensen is settling into his new apartment after a job transfer and breakup with his latest girlfriend. When a black cat shows up at his door and won’t leave him alone, he follows him to the apartment of a charmingly unkempt young woman named Kari Ingles. Suddenly Cole’s past troubles with women are eclipsed by Miss Ingles and her darned cat!

    cute story!

Being such a cat lover I really enjoyed this book. Finished it in a day. Loved reading when it was in the cats perspective. Had me 'lol' imaging if thats what my cats are thinking at certain times. Hope the author writes more books like this in the future.

    The beginning of enemy times

The black cat looked at the two kittens. "Im Madagascar. Who are you exactly? Id like to get to know my new companions." The white kitten spoke first. "Im Kitten and this my friend Frecklekit." Alarm hit Madagascar. "Hello. You ay have seen me on the cover of a book?" (Hint: this book) Frecklekit and Kitten looked at each other. "I see that you dont know what a book is." They both shook their head. "Its something humans read out of." "Well I dont want anything to do with humans." remarked Frecklekit. "I know how you feel. I used to be a wild cat too." "You were a clan cat?" Madagascars face darkened. "I dont have anything to do with those mousebrains. They took everything away from me. My kits and my mate." Madagascar grew sad. "What happened." "Well my mate was a clan cat of Shadowclan. His name was Brokenstar. His own son Tigerkit killed him. He is all grown up now. I also have other kits too. Her name is Yellowkit but shes all grown up too." "Wow!" exclaimed Frecklekit. "Great. Im surrounded by cats that are related to clans." said Kitten unenthusiastic. "Look Kitten. All that stuff is behind. Dont worry about it." "She should be because Im leavin when Im a little older." A year later Fecklekit grew up to be a bit bigger and named herself Frecklepaw. Earlier Madagascar told Frecklepaw that she had been scared because that she was clan related and that she hated them for what happened to her and her family. "I been practicing to jump this wall so that I could escape. I thibk Ive got it down now." Frecklepaw shook her haunches to get ready to jump up. She launched herself and landed perfectly on the top. "Please dont leave Madagascar. I dont want to be alone." Kitten whined softly even though she wasnt a kitten anymore. "Im sorry but I have to see what happened to my family. But dont worry youll get used to it." Madagascar jumped and landed right beside Frecklepaw. "Good bye Kitten. Ill never forget you." Said Frecklepaw sadly. "Bye." The two cats ventured off together. They both ended up in territory soon. "Stop. Who are you and why are you in River Cat territory?" Uh oh. This wasnt Riverclan territory. Who was this strange cat? Frecklepaw explained everything to the cat. "Ah. Well Im Standingmist deputy of the River cats. Come meet Riverleopard but be vatefull she is very sick." Soon Riverleopard died and Standingmist became Rivermist leader of the River Cats and Frecklepaw became a apprentice of the deputy Standingreed. But Madagascar had disappeared in the middle of a night and took. The river cats couldnt find for she cleared her tracks very well. Soon trouble came and it was up to Frecklepaw.
