Where are your ears noise is not superior to greatness

Having had the pleasure of seeing both versions on the stage in both London and NY, I must say that the NY cast was larger, not better. Elaine Page is so far superior to Buckley they both sing the same songs but thats where the comparison ends. A much more musical approach to the stage than the NY cast allows the voices of the individuals come across as they should. Remember these were poems written for children, and should be subtle not bombastic. The finale of the english version is so far superior its not worth the comparison

    Songs

I am afraid that the people who put the song titles on the CDs and put them in what they think is called proper order made some horrific mistakes thus put me off of wanting to purchase the set to go along with the rest of my Cats collection. I must say it is a shear disapointment.

    Review.

After listening to the Original Broadway Cast Recording, the Original London Cast does not seem entirely... well... up to par. It certainly is not as powerful as the Broadway cast, but still a fairly good recording. However, I would recommend buying the Complete Original Broadway Cast Recording instead. If you still want the London Cast, I would recomment getting the Selections, because, in my opinion, it simply is not worth the money to get to Complete London Cast Recording.

    Go for the Broadway soundtrack

Beware of this un-atmospheric CATS soundtrack. It is not as high-powered as the Broadway version, yet it still brings its advantages of seeing how Lloyd-Webber intends his show to sound at first.
