Editorial Reviews

Coffee Table Reviews - Aimee Jessop
I can't tell you just how much I loved this novel. It was very well written and the story was very engaging. While I have read my fair share of paranormal novels, this was one of the ones that will definitely stand out.
Book Girl of Mur-y Castell - Lis Dutch
Cattitude is a surprising book that I can definitely recommend. It's a refreshing read with an original, funny and suspenseful plot, complete with a host of witty and funny characters. It is a well written story that has you on the edge of your seat and rolling on the floor in front of it and maybe pinking a way a stray tear as well.

Edie Ramer did a phenomenal job in writing a book that truly has it all! It is fun, funny, dangerous, mysterious, and filled with a perfect combination of suspense and romance. It's Chick-Lit meets Paranormal Romance, and the combination is explosive! Belle is a cat that has it all - a beautiful home, an owner (Max) who adores her, and naps in the bed. Her world is turned upside down when Caroline, a widow currently living in Belle's house, decides Max is going to be her future husband. The only thing standing in her way is his annoying cat so she decides to get rid of Belle by throwing her in front of a moving car... Sacha is on the run after witnessing a murder. She is driving fast with the murderer right behind her when something hits her car... Belle and Sacha's world changes forever when their two worlds collide and they switch bodies. Suddenly Belle is in a human body being rescued by the man she once thought of as her owner (or human slave - we all know cats rule). Soon she finds herself falling in love with him, but how can she be with him when her soul is still that of a cat? Sacha finds herself in a cat body. She is trying to cope with her new cat impulses when a little girl finds her. All of a sudden she finds the love and protection that she never found as a human. What do you do when who you really are is at odds with who you were? Do you return to your old life or live as if it never existed? This book is a must read. It's for the Chick-Lit and Paranormal Romance lovers; It's for those that love to read Tear-Jerkers, as well as the Page-Turners. What I'm trying to say is - just read it!! You will not be disappointed. It's a light, fun read that still has the suspense, danger and mystery that us heavy PNR fans appreciate.

Belle the cat has a perfect life with her owner Max--that is until the pretty and dangerous Caroline decides that Belle is fouling up Caroline's plan to marry Max. Caroline catnaps Belle and flings her in the road, hoping she'll get killed by a car. Sacha Anders has a shadowy life. A psychic who's witnessed a murder, Sacha finds herself frantically driving to escape the killer. When she hits a cat, it looks like it's the end for both of them. But Belle and Sacha don't die. They switch bodies--and lives. Sacha, as a cat, finds happiness in the arms of an unloved preteen girl. Belle, in human form, begins a journey that is similar to The Little Mermaid, where she plays a new role in Max's life and discovers a love for him that isn't feline. But Max is days away from achieving his lifelong dream--to travel the globe. The last thing he needs is an amnesiac woman who totaled her car. Max is done taking care of people. And yet, when he looks into the woman Sacha's beautiful green eyes, he can't help but feel the tug toward this independent, brave and forthright spirit. Belle's instincts tell her to stay. Max's desire is to go. It's a classic conflict. Plus, there's the bonus of wondering whether Belle and Sorcha will switch back? Will Max find happiness with the real Sorcha or will Belle give up being a cat for the man she loves? Ramer introduces a cast of characters with good and evil intentions. Tons of twists propel the plot, and if you've ever lived with a cat, you'll love getting inside Belle's head as she views the human world from her very unique perspective. It's a good thing it was a holiday weekend--cuz I lost most of today reading this book. I couldn't put it down!

A PURR-FECT READ! Ever owned a cat? Then you know they come with plenty of "cattitude". Belle the cat is no different. She's got her "human", Max, wrapped around her little paws . much to the dismay of a real-live human who's got her eye on Max, and an evil eye on Belle. When she attempts to murder Belle by throwing her into the path of oncoming traffic, Belle is magically transformed into human shape, switching place with Sorcha, who's on the run from a murderer. Ms. Ramer has done an excellent job in creating a fast-paced fun fantasy feline world in this debut novel. It's a charming read, with thrills, spills, and romance sprinkled throughout liberally as catnip. Bravo, Ms. Ramer! I look forward to reading more of your work!

I fell in love with CATTITUDE immediately. The witty and utterly delightful internal monologue of cat Belle just grabbed my attention and made me anxious to find out what would happen next. When work forced me to take a break from reading, I kept thinking about the story, wondering how the different threads might play out until I could snatch a few moments to read again. I knew from the book's summary that a cat was switching bodies with a woman psychic on the run, so I expected bad guys (or bad girls, as was also the case here) to create complications. What I didn't expect was how much heart and warmth I would find between the pages, especially as the story progressed. The parallel tale of the psychic who inhabited Belle's body and the lonely little girl who found her was truly touching to me, and the romance between Belle in human form and her former owner made me grin irrepressibly. The author has created a unique, humorous and fast-paced tale of cat and mouse -- er, cat and human -- but that cat couldn't have been a more fully developed character had she been a 3-D living creature. I just loved her! I didn't want to leave Belle's mind or the tremendously fun world author Ramer penned for us. Definitely make time to read this gem of a story!

Cattitude by Edie Ramer Belle was happy. What cat wouldn't be when she had a man like Max to fill her every need? Now, the woman that was trying to get her claws into Max did not make Belle happy. Especially when said woman tried to kill her! Sorcha Anders was in trouble...the life and death kind of trouble. While trying to escape the man who had just murdered her fiancé and planned on the same fate for her...everything changed. Max Brannigan was going to do it after twenty years. Yep, he was going to travel and get away from his family. His siblings were old enough to be responsible for themselves and his mother...well, she'd just have let him go. And then a strange woman showed up and his beloved cat went missing. I really enjoyed this story. The characters came to life, a young girl named Gwen really grabbed my heart. The Fat Cat, a free read, is about Max's sister Tory and the cat she adopts from the shelter. **Sensual content and language

Title: Cattitude Author: Edie Ramer Publisher: Blue Walrus Books Published: 8-25-2010 ISBN: 978-0-985643-73-7 E-Book ASIN: B0040ZN224 Pages: 307 Genre: Romance Tags: Paranormal Romance, Humor, Comedy & Entertainment This book is for all the cat owners who have ever looked at their cats and wondered, "What is that cat thinking?" Here is you chance to find out. On a lonely road just a short walk from Max Brannigan's house, Sorcha Anders is running from a murderer when Max's Cousin's murderous widow throws his cat Bella into the windshield of Sorcha's car, hoping to kill the cat she feels is trying to interfere with her hopes of getting Max to notice her. Bella can feel her life ebbing she pleads I want to live. When Sorcha tumbles from the car she pleads to God to take her and spare the cat. God must have been listening because as Max and his brother are returning from helping his mother with her stalled car he nearly runs off the road to avoid a woman as she stumbles onto the road into the path of his car. As he heads back to his car he sees a gray mass not far from the woman's car and thinks it must be a squirrel because his cat is home safe. The woman in his arm drapes all over him but will not answer any of his questions. Does she understand English? Was she hurt in the crash? When he mentions taking her to the hospital she runs. Belle doesn't know what happened or how but she wants her body back and out the furless human one. Sorcha isn't sure how she ended up in the body of the cat that was thrown at her car. The last thing she remembers is looking into the eyes of a dying cat knowing she could not see another living creature die and begging God to let her die instead. Now she is hiding knowing the cat must be in her body. She can not let the two men coming towards her catch her before she finds her body and switches back. What ensues is a hilarious story as Max struggles to get out from under the mantel of being responsible for everyone in his family, Sorcha and Bella try to figure out how to get back into their own bodies and yet stay alive as killers try to keep them from telling anyone what they know. I have loved reading Cattitude. Edie Ramer is a wonderful author that always brings a smile to my face and a life in my spirits when I read one of her books and this one is no exception. She uses humor make you fall in love with the characters. Bell, the cat, whether in a her cat body or the human borrowed one depicts every cat I was blessed to call owner in my lifetime. She quickly became my favorite character, even though Max, Ted Sorcha, and Tory are well written and very believable. You will cry for and with Gwen. There will be characters that make your heart race with fear and others that make it race with desire. It is up to you to place all the characters how you see them. If you like a little humor mixed with a couple of murdering sociopaths then you will definitely adore Cattitude. Do not miss a chance to read it today. After you finish Cattitude check out her miracle interrupted series next.

A Lilac Wolf and Stuff Review It's a body switch story, except it's between a human woman (who happens to be psychic) and a female cat. Belle, the cat, who finds she generally dislikes how complicated it is to be human. I love that she doesn't let anyone get to her, and continues to come and go as she pleases and does what she wants, she stays very catlike in attitude. Highlight of being human? Learning to use the can opener so she can eat tuna anytime. Also she learns how to read and gets sucked into Harry Potter. As someone who is reading them for the 3rd time, I see how that can happen. lol Sorcha, finds that she kind of likes being a cat. It's quiet; in the switch, her powers fizzle out and she has silence in her mind for the first time in her life. She also finds a little girl who loves her unconditionally and truly needs her. Edie keeps the suspense up in this story because not only are you unsure about them switching back, which both generally want to do, but Sorcha has people who want to kill her. Well, technically one of them wants to kill Belle who is in Sorcha's body, but you'll have to read the tale to figure that one out. And I would say that is also contains the strong female lead and a man who doesn't care that she's strong. And this is odd, because he's a man who is used to taking care of people. I can now say, without a doubt, I am an Edie Ramer fan!

I LOVED this book. As a cat lover, I was drawn to the tagline: Anything a human can do a cat can do better. How perfect! That's a sentiment I see my cat thinking every day. In her heroine, Belle, Edie Ramer has managed to capture the feline thought process and translate it into a humorous and endearing character who charmed me from the first page. The book is often laugh out loud funny, as when Belle is considering living life as a woman instead of a cat and decides she'd rather have a hairball in her throat. Or the passages on Belle's Harry Potter obsession. I could definitely relate to those and at one point had to take a drink of water, I was laughing so hard. The hero, Max, is loveable and relatable as well. He's so attractive and wonderful, ...well you'll have to read the book to know more. Ramer has also done a fantastic job with the relationship between Sorcha (who becomes a cat) and the little girl she grows to love. Cattitude is a must read for cat lovers...and everyone else.

I was willing to accept the premise of a cat and a woman accidentally switching bodies¿light paranormal is fun!¿but where was the author going from there? Nowhere that I¿ve ever been before, and the results are not only fresh but also thoroughly entertaining. There¿s laugh-out-loud humor, along with unexpected twists and a deft understanding of how a cat in human form would view the world. Ramer develops the storyline in an unpredictable way, and pulls it off beautifully. The romance comes together believably, too. I loved this book and look forward to reading more of the author¿s work.
