Don't get for the Virtual Lab

I just purchased this book so I cannot comment on the information contained, although at first glace it seems pretty comprehensive. I purchased this one over the paperback 7th edition that was half the cost because this one came with the lab and the other didn't. I got it home and installed the virtual lab and started playing with the routers in the lab. First off, the lab doesn't provide you with any tasking, it is just a simulated network. Secondly, it doesn't support basic command. For instance, the very first thing I tried to do was run the sh ip int brief command to see if the ports where turned on. I received a "this command is not supported" message. I tried spelling everything out and it still did not work. I would recommend purchasing the cheaper book and then getting your hands on a copy of Packet Tracer, which allows you to run labs with tasks and grading.
