    HIghly recommended

In the Ceder Post by Jack R. Rose there is a boy named John who is not really enjoying life a lot. But then one day he meets a man named Ur who is missing his legs. He is also blind and deaf. John is asked to watch Ur while Mary, his sister, leaves. John learns some of the most valuable information in life.

This book made a difference in my life. The book taught me a lot about rights that I unknowingly overlooked. I could really relate to John in this story. There were a lot of situations that I have been in that took place in this story. After reading this story I will never take my rights lightly.

Throughout the story you see a change in John. John starts to gain respect from those around him. The story also has a story about him wrestling and he has to beat a man named Luther. The whole town comes together to help him in training for the final match. I will not say the ending of this story but the book was fantastic.

    more from this reviewer

    Good and Dang Funny!

I love the first part with Moose in the car and also holding her hand. Funny! Ur is a really awesome person and I wish I could be more like him, minus the missing legs, blindness, and deafness. This book would be good for anyone to read. The author used to live in my ward, and I miss his humor and personality. Reading that was a good reminder of what he was like. I think him and his wife are moving back soon. They headed toward the East coast about six years ago.
