This is the second time reading this novel. I love the detail and how it draws you in. So much so, you don't want to let go, ever. I've enjoied reading about Xanth since the 4th grade. I can't get enough of the characters & the scenery. Xanth is a wonderful plce to escape from reality.

This book is a must read!!!!!!!! I only read the sample though but I'm going to buy the book really soon. Any one who is looking for a good book is bound to love this one and the first three too!!!! Their names are The Spell For Cameleon (forgot the second one) then Castle Roogna. I hope you will take some interest in the books and read some of them!!! I sure did!!!

I read 15 of the Xanth novels as a teenager. I liked them so much that I have recomeended them to many of my friends. Piers Antony is wonderful at weaving a realm of magic and monsters, puzzles and labyrinths that his books will immediately captivate even the most difficult critics. Tame even for teens yet still fascinating enough for adults, these books are must reads!
