Meet the Author

I LOVE Starbucks’ White Mocha Latte and Mountain Dew, (but not together). I have a lead foot so I set cruise control when I drive, even in 25 MPH zones. I almost never win when I play Angry Birds, but have my 8 year old close, so he can clear the hard levels for me. I grew up on a farm and am opposed to eating fresh chicken (not opposed to meat - just opposed to any meat that was alive a few hours before lunch). I am a huge fan of the show, Big Bang Theory, on CBS. I have a stray cat that I feed every night and morning but she’s never let me get closer than within 3 feet of her – I keep thinking eventually I’ll wear her down and she’ll let me pet her. I share my life with two fantastic sons, three rotten dogs and a husband that I adore.

Love the easy reading, want to learn more about their lives. Anx

Love the easy reading, want to learn more about their lives. Anxious to hear how Daniel gets his happiness in the end. Very happy Beau got chosen to get married, don't want any of them to die. Took too long to read book 2 after book one, so a bit lost at some of the references to former characters. Love the abilities of the distinct families. So good Cami connected to her mother before she moved onto the pasture, and the best, that LOVE is the strongest of all magic.

Mystical half human/ half horse creatures. Interesting reading! Not what I usually read but a change from the ordinary sometimes is good!

Really enjoyed this second book in the series even though this is not my usual genre to read. My only complaint is the abrupt ending in both books so far. I hate to get tied up in a five book series. Three to a series is really enough in my opinion. Anymore and it is just too time consuming and makes me tired of the story and characters. I need to take a break from this mystical world in these two books and move on to something else. Might revisit the series at a later date and see what happens on book three. Would have given five stars if not for the abrupt ending.

    absolutely a fabulous series...

On the run in search of something that up until now has only been heard of in the Greek myths told to them as children, Cami and Drake must make their way to Ireland in search of Hercules' arrow. An arrow and her Great Uncle. Hoping both will give her the protection from her grandmother she so desperately needs. What they discover on this journey is beyond anything Cami thought possible. Greek mythology is coming to life before her very eyes and it may be the only thing able to keep them both alive in the end.

Amazing. This story was simply amazing. If I had to compare this book to another one out there, it would most likely be THE LIGHTNING THIEF. I have yet to read the book but I did see the movie. And this book is like a New Adult version of that. Everything about it came to life when the history of the Centaurs was told. The story captured my attention from the very first book and has yet to release me. Quite sure I don't want it to either. These books are fascinating and I am completely happy to pitch a tent and relax within its words.

If I thought I couldn't love Drake any more than I already did, well, this one proved me wrong on so many levels. Straight was able to write a character that affected me so strongly. My feelings were amped up for him. Especially in the scenes where he was so deeply hurting for Cami and wondering if she would reject him. Ok. That is all I am saying about that. Don't want to step on toes and give stuff away. But if any of you had doubts about his love for Cami...I am here to squash those thoughts. He loves her. That is final.

I am now moving on to book 3, CENTAUR RIVALRY. I have to know what is going to happen as they make their way on this incredible journey. Hell. Is. About. To. Break. Loose. Mark my words.

You need to read the first book before reading this second book.

You need to read the first book before reading this second book. There is too much that you would miss if you skipped it. This book was every bit as good as the first one, if not better. It kept me on my toes. There was always something happening to fully keep my attention. It's not often a book surprises me, but something pretty big takes place that I didn't see coming at all. At least not like THAT. Centaur Legacy by Nancy Straight was provided to me by AToMRTours for review. The opinions are my own.

    Good Read, Horrible Cliff Hanger!

I was so excited to read this book. The first ended with a cliff hanger but the book was so good and the story ended at a place where it didn't bother me. However the 2nd book did the same thing but worse and it's gotten a bit annoying. After reading some info on the series I've learned that there will be 5 books total and it caused me to not want to purchase the 3rd book until the author completes the series. It's a great story but I like some type of closure at the end of a book. This book ended so abruptly I thought my nook was broken! I'd like to know how the story ends so I will read all of the books but I am taking a break as of now.... In a series it's ok to leave some questions unanswered which will push the reader to read the other books however this is ridiculous.

    Another great book!

Wow! So glad there's a third book because I would be disappointed if the story ended here. The storyline wrecked havoc with my emotions. I found myself laughing, on edge, saddened and not realizing I was holding my breath! Fantastic writing skills and imagination by the author. I'm hooked. The book held me in a tight grip from beginning to end! Again, kudos to the author! Keep 'em coming!

Another great book from Nancy Straight!!! I loved the action and romance filled story even more than the first. Cami and Drake are amazing and I truly hope things work out for them in the last of the series. I loved how we learned more about Cami's past, her family, and finally got to hear her mother's thoughts on everything. I hope Cameron is a more active part of the store in the next book. I can't wait for Cami and him to meet and discuss everything!

A friend of my recommended this book to me. I usually read historial romance and fantacy books. This book was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend it. While I am not usually a fan of first person books, the fact that the author changes who is speaking in some of the chapters really helped. A great cast of chacters and for me it was a very unique story line.
