I went back and dug and dug to find this series again to reread. I remember reading this series in high school which contributed to my love of books. Despite this, I had forgotten the book series' title and spent a while on the Internet researching to find it again. Reading Cerebrus again was great. I'd say this is a good psychological thriller style book as you're wondering about the protagonist's plan as he plots and schemes.

Absolutely love all four of these books, especially as the protagonist is forced to face him (and occasionally, her)self in a mirror that shows a bit more than he might prefer...
