Mo' Money, Mo' Problems

Cha Ching depicts the life of young Storm Williams. Much like her name, Storm has been through some very turbulent, violent and devastating times. When it rains, it pours. First, she is abandoned by her mother, only to be subjected to mental and sexual abuse at the hands of her caregivers. Determined to play the cruel hand life dealt her, Storm hones her hustling skills as a way up the monetary ladder and to better her life. Despite her success, she can't escape her past or the problems that come with having money.

Cha Ching was a very quick and easy read. I was looking for more about her hustle, particularly with a title like Cha Ching. The topic of her credit card scam was addressed at minimum. I was left with many questions. How did Storm get into the credit card hustle to begin with? I wanted background on Black, Pam and Taj. All were interesting characters. How did Storm meet them, Pam specifically? At only 181 pages, I felt that areas such as these could have been expounded upon making for a more complete read. This was my first read by Ms. Blount and I believe I'll read another of her novels.

Reviewed by: Tracy
3.5 stars

    Not happy about the ending!

Storm williams was never dealt a good hand in her life growing up. Her mother left her when she was little and was sent to live with her aunt hope. Her aunt hope at first had good intentions until she became a crackhead along with her boyfriend. After tired of being pimped out by her aunt storm takes matters in her own hand. She takes on her own hustles that land her at the top of her game. But as she gets where she needs to be and found the love of her life, taj her past demons keep her from letting go and moving forward. Take a ride with storm williams through all the twist, turns, and bumpy roads. The ending is so shocking it might leave you happy or in a fit of tears. Only one way to find out....Buy this book!

    Life sentence of pain

Storm Williams is caught up in a steady downpour that just so happens to be her existence. Neglected and distressed about her survival, Storm is forced into a tornado too bumpy for adults let alone a child. The blizzard that seemed to curse Storm has passed, she is now apart of the elite. Living imperially, Storm not only possesses money, power and respect, but she has a GENUINE MAN, who loves her, even though she¿s somewhat distrustful. While Storm is busy forecasting a plan for happily ever after, gluttony, resentment and hatred are closing in on her. Removed from God and His plans, can Storm weather what¿s to come? Tonya Blount is unquestionably a seasoned author, whose talent envelopes readers into the world she¿s writing about. CHA CHING: CHARGE IT TO THE GAME is a quick read that is blessed in love, forgiveness and hope despite the past. Ask yourself, can you stand the rain?
