Overview

They carried a most valuable treasure and would become a part of a most fabulous history...
They must protect the chains at all cost.

Titus Mena is only a common jailer; his life could not have been of much importance to anyone, but that is all about to change. While keeping guard one night, Titus witnesses the miraculous escape of the Apostle Peter as his bound chains fall to the ground and he walks past soldiers blind of his passing. Knowing King Herod will punish Christian followers for this act of God, Titus sets out on a journey to protect the precious relics as Peter goes into hiding. Joining Titus are Shafeet and their faithful horses, Hero and Magic. When they discover the metallic chains have turned to gold, they know they must do everything in their power to get them to safety. Pitfalls arise as thieves and King Herod himself do everything in their power to stop the guardians of the relics at all costs-even death. This exciting tale follows the historical route of the apostles and Jesus as Titus unearths the truth about the mysterious circumstances of one of God's most astonishing yet obscure works-The Chains of St. Peter.

Meet the Author

S. Eugene Cohlmia was born in Waynoka Ok spending his early years enjoying nature & reading. Moved to Tulsa, Ok worked with a large Furniture Co. 1955 moved to Wichita, Ks to earn the love of his now wife of 54 years; managed department of National Dept Store. 1978 opened a huge & successful Furniture operation.

He began writing prose as well as poetry at 16. Writing went by the way side upon the sudden pleasant surprise that the opposite sex brought to him. Than upon his retirement he began writing again. Writing eight children’s books and three other fictional spy novels then wrote The Chains of St. Peter.

Having very little to do other than playing golf, honey do’s, etc I began writing. Within a couple of years I had written nine children books, two fiction writings as well a complete search of my ancestral profile.

December of 2007, after Christmas, I decided to try again. I searched the internet, other books and magazines and even sent some of my short stories out. One day while browsing through books of Orthodox Saints I came across the story of the relics of St. Peter, his chains. Finishing the book in April at which time I began going over it for a re-write or editing to my satisfaction. I also added a few more stories.

Fast moving! Exciting! Unusual idea! Fictional Biblical History

Fast paced. Recomended for teens to adults. Held my interest until the end. I believe this is the Authors first publication he has done a good job epesially as to the historical events of the day as well as the geography, including names of the old cities of Israel in Early Biblical history.
