I have been wanting to read these for awhile now but, will not because the second one is not available. Does anyone know why? I really enjoy this author and would love to read this series.

I had never read, or heard of Sweep, before I started looking into this book. I thought this book was awesome! The begining can seem somewhat slow because it's the first book in the series, so you have character introductions and basic foundation being built, but it gets good fast. It's not a hard read, but the writing is not dumbed down at all. If your looking for a series to get excited about, one that makes you want the day to hurry up and finish so you can go home and read, this is a series for you. Another thing to note is that I did not find the magick too heavy. That's one of the reasons I am not going to read Sweep, because I only like the wicca/magick theme in small portions.
BE AWARE: Book 2 (A circle of Ashes) is impossibly hard to find! If you start this book, begin your hunt for Book 2. Unless Penguin decides to bring it back out and publish it, it will continue to be a hard book to find.

I LUv LUV LUV Sweep! I am in love with Hunter beyond imagination. I was sobbing at multiple parts in the surprising spots, but also found myself angry at some characters. I am about to finish that series n will b sooooooo sad when it's over.

I was so excited when I heard that Cate was coming out with a new series I couldn't wait to begin reading. The first book was good...it seemed to me though that it was setting the stage for some big things to come, it contained what seemed to me to be alot of background info...I'm starting the 2nd book now. It makes you keep reading right through I know I am going to be waiting for the third...Love Cate's writing as always...But I have to say and all of you sweep fans will agree I MISS MORGAN..sorry had to say that

I accidentally stumbled upon her work years ago at my second home aka the library and began my journey with sweep series which i only recently finished because i couldn't fathom the story ending. Anyways, with this series, i found a paperback at borders with all three books inside. This series is also awesome and i was sucked in once again. I have read this story many times throughout the years. Very interesting.

Cate does it again! Although it is not Sweep, it still rocked. The characters were nicely developed, and the setting was great. I suggest this series to anyone.

i read te sweep seires and fell in love with it. i couldn't put the books down and everytime i finished one i had to start the next asap. i didnt bother buying then seperately, i just bought multiples in one so i wouldnt have to wait and see what happened next. i fell in love with the characters and even found myself tearing up at teh sad parts. no book has ever done that to me. i felt i was watching the story through the eyes of teh characters. and from reading what this new series is about i am sure i will absolutely fall in love with this story as well. it is the next book i will be purchasing and i can't wait!

After reading the 'Sweep' series I was very excited to learn about the new series she was working on. The day 'A Chalice of Wind' came out I quickly left to go buy it. Of course, I was not disappointed. It's a great read for people interested in teen wicca books, or just like to read about the romance, friendships, and everything that the two twins had to deal with in the book. I highly recommend this book and series.

I was completely anticipating the first book to be released from Cate Tiernan's new series after Sweep. As soon as i read it, i got hooked. i have to say, i really enjoyed this book a little more than Sweep because its more adult oriented and not childish or anything. Although, i have to admit, the book started out pretty slow but it got better almost by the middle until the end. Thias Allard is a seventeen year old from Connecticut who had just lost her father to a accident and is therefore, forced to live in New Orleans with a woman she has never known. Clio Martin is also seventeen, living in New Orleans as well with her grandmother until one day, the girls meet and things began to go from normal to weird. Because we discover that they're long lost twins, seperated at birth. But also, they come from a family of witches. As they discovered this, the girls also found out the story that witch twins are mentioned to be very very powerful witches. The bad thing is, someone has already discovered their secret and are trying to kill them as a direct result of it. I pretty much enjoyed this book, but like i said, it does start out a bit slow. but i recommend it!
