    The Challenger

From start to finish I loved this book. For me, it was a mixture of joy, thrill, and sadness though. Joy when Sam got the kitten from Jake, thrill when the mountian lion attacked Sam, and sadness when Linc killed the mother mountian lion and left her baby alone.

    A reviewer

i thought that this book had a very real feel to it ,not a fairy tail with mythical creatures popping in whenever they pleased. i could actually GET where she was coming from in her thoughts and could see myself doing what she does. it held the embarrassment and decisions of real life, not sugar-coated. the book was a real eye catcher and i enjoyed it thoroughly. my compliments to the author. Very Exciting

Cougar attacks, fights with friends, riding wild horses, life and death. Yeah, this book has these things. Sam is attacked by a cougar, witnesses a dead feline, fights with a friend, worries over a lone black mustang, and rides a wild horse. If you're one of those people who not only loves horses, but loves adventure, too, then I suggest reading this book!

1 great book out of the series!!!

This was a great book. I am reading, The Wildest One(#16) out of the Phantom Stallion series. I was hooked to Heartland(by Lauren Brooke)and was sad to see it end. I went to Barnes & Noble and bought the first Phantom Stallion book. I loved it so much I kept buying more and more. Terri Farley has #17 Moutain Mare and #18 Firefly of the Phantom Stallion series coming out soon. On the Phantom Stallion website she says she just sent in #21 of the Phantom Stallion series. Ok, so in this book wild cats are on the loose. One of the ranchers wants to kill them.(Hint: its the rancher who is the richest man in Northern Nevada)Sam wants to help the cats by scaring them off so they don't get killed. She convinces Jake to help to. Then when she sets out to meet him, she cant find him. She spots hoof prints leading into Lost Canyon. While shes down there a couger attacts her. She manages to get up and scares him off. Than she rides the Phantom. I wont tell you the very end so read it!

    This was a great one

This is one of the best of the Phantom Stallion books yet, and I've read them all, all of the way up to 'Rain Dance'. I guarentee that this book will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last word (I got in trouble for reading it in my Math and Art classes). The cougars aforementioned are very prevelant throughout the book. When Linc Slocum does a very Linc-Slocum-like thing that only he could do (lol) it leaves a young cougar alone and defenseless with no mother, which forces him to stray onto River Bend Ranch property. Along the way, Sam 'wrestles' with the cougar, and after so long, the Phantom gives Sam a ride. I don't want to spill anymore secrets, so I'll just suggest that you get the book NOW, and READ!

    another great book!

This book was excellent! I enjoyed it so much and so far it is my 2nd favorite book of the Phantom Stallion series. I was glad that Sam wasn't upset to find out that her dad and Brynna were going to get married. I was also suprised that the cougar attacked Sam! I was sooooooooo thrilled when Sam got to ride the Phantom! I think that is the coolest thing. I would definantley recommend this book. So start reading it because this is a great book!

    10000000000% awesome

this book has to be one of the best in the series. I think it was a little bit scary, a little bit cool, and a little bit sad when the cougar attacked sam though. I thought it was awful when linc killed the cougar too.

This book was great, just like all the other ones in this series, although i was surprised the Cougar actually attacked Sam, it is realistic enough. This book was awesome!

    Awesome!

Okay, I have read every Phantom Stallion book out, up to #8. This is the absolute best book of the series, although they are all terrific. At Terri's website, she says that the series has been extended to 16 books!

    Challenger (Phantom Stallion Series #6)

I can't wait 'till this book comes out!! I hope Sam and Jake get together. It's sort of obvious. When I read the first 1, I thought it wouldn't be as good as Heartland, but I was wrong. I wnder what will happen to The Phantom and his son. I hope Terri writes more than 8. I wonder what will happen w/ will happen to Sam and Jake when he thinks she and Darrel are up to something. Keep up the good work Terri Farley!!!!!!!!!!!!!
