    Bought it by mistake

I just finished reading 'Championship Hold 'em' and covered the information in about 2 days. I found the book to be loaded with great strategies, but most importantly it DID NOT load you down with the mathematics of calculationg pot odds, implied odds and whatever other areas of math that comes into play. It was very easy to read and understand. Although I read many other books from other authors (well-known players)I find this would be a good book to add to one's library. I actually bought it by mistake and thought it would cover No Limit, but I will continue to purchase the two books on Key Hands and No Limit and Pot Limit Hold 'em. Any book that you read will improve your game, but it's to the reader to make the effort. Get this book and you will like it!!

    Solid Limit Poker Advice

This is a great book to sharpen your Limit Hold 'Em game. I admit I play more no-limit (like everyone else these days) but the advice in here will help tighten your game whether you play limit or no-limit (although if you are a strict no-limit player, you really should read McEvoy and Cloutiers' other Championship Series book 'Championship No Limit & Pot Limit Hold 'Em' which I think is the best book written on the subject). As for this book, it ranks starting hands and explains the importance of position (which may be the most important thing, even in limit poker). The tournament advice and practice hands are invaluable, especially coming from Cloutier who has been called the best tournament player in the world. Cloutier's style is very conservative (so much, that the conservative McEvoy sometimes looks loose in comparison) but will help you walk away from most games a winner. A solid addition to any poker library, although not ideal for beginners since it assumes a working knowledge of the game.
