Meet the Author

P.T. Dilloway has been a writer for most of his life. He completed his first story in third grade and received an ‘A’ for the assignment. Around that time he also placed in a local writing contest for a television station, receiving an action figure in lieu of a trophy, thus securing his love with the written word. Since then he’s continued to spend most of his free time writing and editing. In the last twenty years he’s completed nearly forty novels of various genres. Two of those novels are already indie published. Where You Belong is the heartwarming story of a man in search of himself and his place in the world. Virgin Territory is a suspenseful tale of a man who finds love from beyond the grave. He’s also indie published a volume of short stories collectively titled The Carnival Papers. A Hero’s Journey is P.T.’s first superhero novel, born from his love of old TV shows like “Superfriends” and the 1960s “Batman” TV series, both of which he spent much time watching in reruns growing up in rural Michigan, as well as more recent theatrical offerings like “The Dark Knight” and “Watchmen.” A Hero’s Journey tells the story of a young woman who finds a suit of magic armor that allows her to save the world—and herself. When not writing, P.T. enjoys reading and photographing Michigan’s many lighthouses. In order to pay the bills, he earned an accounting degree from Saginaw Valley State University in 2000 and for the past ten years has worked as a payroll accountant in Detroit. He lives in suburban Detroit, where he continues to work on new writing projects. If you want to find him, just search the Panera Breads and Starbuckses near Detroit on weekends.

With a definite twist...certainly a different read but ok with m. 255 pages. (dw)

I don't know why this other reviewer thought it was supposed to be humorous chick lit. There's nothing like that in the description. And it was free, so what are you whining about?

This free book has 259 pages, it was well edited and starts out interesting and unique. The it slows down, snails down, almost comes to a complete stop and gets rather boring. A police officer gets involved with a drug deal like no other, and the side effects are life altering. This book has a lot of murder, mostly bad guys, but some details are gruesome. The are a lot of injuries and violence. Hard core cursing becomes more prevelant the closer the reader gets to the conclusion. There is an unexpected twist involving best friends near the end. I got so tired of all the girly, girl stuff like jewerly, sex appeal, fashion, shopping and all the lesbian crap, which was just plain nasty and almost incestious. I thought this would be a humorous story. HAH!!! Was I ever wrong. There is no romance, there is a lot of so called friends backstabbing each other. About half way through, I became uncomfortable with the sexual details of a lesbian triangle. This is a book for adults. It is not chick lit. It is a murder, mystery with a dab of science fiction thrown in. Because I am the first reviewer and did not want to discourage other readers, I am giving the author, three stars, one for editing, one for having a unique plot and one for a decent conclusion. Because of the lesbian, almost incestous angle, all the whineing , cursing, boring fashion and shopping details, this book did not come close to a five star review. I actually considered a lower rating, but decided three stars was more then fair. AD
