Editorial Reviews

Tangent Online - Scott Sandridge
*Review of Silent Blade*:
Cypess handles this powerful, emotional, character-driven tale with masterful skill… The dialogue rings true, as do the characters themselves. The emotions and motivations feel real, and the plot twists come unexpectedly, yet are logical in the context of the story. You should certainly make a few minutes available for this one.
The Internet Review of Science-Fiction - Lois Tilton
*Review of Dead Silent*
A good ghost story, with strong characterization. The relationship among Shanna, her mother and her stepfather is all too real. And while at the conclusion Shanna learns how to cope with the ghosts, the revelation does not miraculously solve all the human problems. RECOMMENDED.

    short

I find that while all these shorts have a central theme, they have a few typos, but are overall intriguing and worth the read. I shall be storing for future read.

    more from this reviewer

I enjoyed Leah's writing. I found her ability to vary her short

I enjoyed Leah's writing. I found her ability to vary her short story ideas very refreshing. Most authors are one note and that typically is ok. In short story compilations sometimes it gets a little boring. Glad I read this.

    Great fast reads!

I enjoyed all of the short stories in this book. The last one was disinteresting and i didn't finish that one. I was pleased by how different the stories could be, yet still very intriguing. Mom of two little ones and couldn't put it down.
