A light story about friendship and self discovery. There was a lot jumping around in the book from why Samantha's home was new and the detialed history of her friend she was trying to help. It was sad but enjoyable. I think a lot of the details in this book would be lost on young girls today because the times have changed so much. Once again I enjoyed the historical information at the end of the book and the little additional notes through book more that the story itself.

a great book. It's the seccond most exiting book in the Samantha series. Nellie's parents have died and so her employers send her off to a maid school. Then the school decides to send her off to another place, and leave her two sisters alone. So, what's Samantha going to do? Read this book to find out. It is so GREAT!! Every girl should read this book!
