I felt thebook dragged a bit but what really made me crazy was the ending, no explanation as to how it happened, nothing to lead the story along. The ending left alot to be desired, a real abrupt climax, if one can use the term loosely, that left me disappointed.

This book was a good read. I was shocked to say the least at the ending.. I actually backed up a page or so and re- read just to see if I had missed something important. The ending was not one I had imagined. I would have to say it was worth the money, but I kind of wish I could write a different ending... I suppose the next book in this series might help some... not completely sold on this author yet.

A somewhat sad, Christian book. A little too much pathos for me, when I was looking forward to something with less drama. I would like to know why Maggie made the decision she did. The big time gap at the end also confused me as the book was a short read and could have used some filling out. The characters were likable and well rounded. The editing was good. I don't think I will purchase other books by this author. There were too many unexplaind events which left me feeling unsettled at the end.

I wish there had been a little more character information. The book is around 160 pages but it would have been better at 300. The story skips months at a time and little seems to change in the months missing even though the main character is struggling with many things. The time gaps are too big, the story a bit to shallow. I still enjoyed the book.

I love the references to the Bible and the main character's Faith in the Lord but the ending, like other reviewers had noted, was not very developed. I would not recommend this book to any of my friends who love Christian fiction.

The story was nice but could have had better character development. Was disappointed with the abrupt ending. As others did, I backed up to the beginning of the chapter as I thought I missed something.

the old west and history is some of my favorites, God in you life and values is in this book

I enjoyed this book until I reached the ending.  As many other reviewers have said, the abrupt ending had me looking back to see if I had missed something. It made me think of former students who were writing a story, got tired of writing, and just quit.  I hope the author will rewrite this book and give it the ending it deserves.

Good christian book but the ending was a bit rushed. I had to go back to see if I missed something. She was trying to figure out who she was in love with and thr next thing she was married.

MORE THEN ONCE I FELT like a chapter or two was cut out. The flow of this book was majorly oft. Middle school level writing at best.

Enjoyed the book. But it would have been better if the ending was not so rushed. I couldn't figure out how Maggie made a choice between Danny and Ian.

The ending was so disapointing

The plot seemed promising when I read the synopsis, but I found it poorly executed. The characters and their relationships weren't as rounded out as I would have liked. The story itself ends abruptly, the heroine having made her decision. However, the why and how behind her choice is not played out, so the reader is left feeling like he/she has missed a chunk of the story.

As I was reading through the book, I enjoyed it very much. The writing style was easy to follow, the characters were interesting, and the storyline was a real page turner; I had to know what happened next! I learned a lot about horses. The book had me gripped until the very end when all of a sudden this grip was released and I was dropped on my head. Ouch. The main theme of the story (to me) was a heroine having to choose between two men. The author failed to share with the reader the thought process of why the heroine chose one man over the other. Additionally, the author did not afford us a glimpse into the how her decision impacted the man that was rejected. In my opinion, the ending asked more questions than it answered. I will not read other books by this author.

Good for a free book, but felt it drag on and on and on. Then it just ended.

The story of Maggie trying to decide between ian and Danny was totally unrealistic. She can't decide because they are both great guys but there is no romance at all. No indication of any relationship other tham friendship despite that she kissed Ian once and Danny twice. Then all of a sudden on the last page we find out she's married!? It doesn't make sense.

Enjoyed learming about barrel racing. Always liked watching the event, but did not fully appreciate what it entailed to train a horse and rider to work together to succeed. The ending did not bother me.....five months had passed, and she had made a decision on marriage.
