Poems of profoundly philosophical and mystical nature, most of which are confined to a single page. Contains many poems that are of a pertinent political nature, dealing primarily with the current economic debacle and with its fallout results: mainly mass unemployment and residential foreclosures. The poet condemns Congress and all of the more prominent financial institutions, the banks, for the harms that their selfish and stupid actions have caused. These are very angry poems and reflect the sentiments of the Occupy Wall Street Movement. Those particular poems are quite powerful, and are very direct in placing blame. A few poems deal with old age and these are poignant and sad. Other poems deal with the military and with the disastrous results of intervention abroad, and those are controversial. All in all, this volume contains some of the best, and perhaps the finest, new poetry being written today in English.
