Wasn't crazy about the movie...but there was something about the soundtrack that captured my attention. When I listened to the CD I KNEW I had to get it. There is something really special about the songs and how the choir sings them. I can't understand the words, but there is something deeply moving and uplifting that emanates from their voices. Religious or not, I defy anyone to listen to it and not be moved. If music can be clasified as "pure", this is as pure as it gets...simple and very beautiful. Do yourself a favour and at the very least have a listen.

I am not a religious person by any stretch of the imagination, but I found the raw emotion, energy and unadulterated joy associated with these songs to be truly inspiring and almost tear inducing. The emotional and aesthetic effect is enhanced by first watching the movie, as one gains an even greater appreciation of this beautiful music when it is juxtaposed with the violence in the film. However, viewing the film is not required to enjoy this wonderful album, simply recommended.

Ever since saw the movie, this music has been stuck in my memory. These pure sounds give me goosebumps all over! It's just amazing. Choir of All Saints especially!

the chants were a wonderful addition to the movie, and were perfectly harmonized, and all unique. they definetly added to the movie, and are wonderful pieces alone too.

If you thought the Thin Red Line was the best war movie ever made and among the best films ever made, then you must buy this album. If you thought the Thin Red Line was a beautifully filmed, but deeply flawed and disjointed movie, then you still must buy this album. If you thought the Thin Red Line was lousy, then buy some music by Celine Dion. This a deeply moving soundtrack that is a must buy for anyone who hankers for unusual, unique music.
