    Yes, I recommend!

I bought this because the cover was interesting and the page sample from the website were intriguing to me. Starts off a lot of different scenes going on at once. once you get past the first 18 pages, you realize what you have gotten yourself into, and it was good to me. it is definitely a "Graphic novel". The artist has a darkness to the work which i liked very much. Looked great on my Nook Color and iPad. if you like crime/mystery shows, or sci-fi channel, then you should like, I did!

I liked it- I do recommend!

103 pages of actual artwork was great. I hope this is how future nookbook graphic novels become. Story was good. I really enjoyed the style of artwork! Don't want to spoil anything for other readers, so just going to say " thrill ride". I read it straight through and then thought about it and re-read it again. I saw stuff I didn't see the first time. JD

    Highly Recommended - Cool stuff!

    Well,
This book was not what i expected, and i mean that in a good way.
Been waiting for a 100+ page graphic novel ebook that is good, and i found one. Artwork and story quality is quite cool. Different than my usual reads of Darkhorse, DC, Marvel, Image, Red 5, IDW, etc. More of a grownup story, totally not superhero. Nice work book makers!
    What else do you got?

    Okay

The storyline in "Chaosis" is improbable, but not impossible. It was, at least, entertaining.

Throughout this graphic novel the philosophical phrase "absolute power corrupts absolutely" reverberated in my head. Truth is difficult to deny. Usually, these incredibly powerful "mad" men present with varying degrees of megalomania, then a nasty end befalls them. It has been repeated in history time and time again.

Power tends to make people do and say things that are amoral at best. At first they are charismatic and we welcome them in. Over time we realize that they are dangerous, but only after giving up our freedom, for conveniences and feeling safe. What happens in a not-so-fictional place where the main character believes that he is God? This, exercise for students of history, is the premise the the world view in "Chaosis".

I liked the twists and turns in the story. The characters were somewhat interchangeable except for G.O.D. and the detective. The parents were interesting, and added a high tech vibe to an improbable world.

The art was too c.g.i. for my old-school tastes. Unfortunately, in many places hair and skin color changed from frame to frame (for the same person). It was confusing at times.

Since everything happens at night, the backgrounds are naturally dark. Add in oversaturated character coloring. And, it all blends together like the paint was too wet. A little more contrast would have sharpened the images. As I said, it was not an art style that suited my preferences.

The characters could have been more developed. The plot was good. And, it kept my attention, even if the illustration style did not work for me. Was it worth $10 or more? Not to me. But, another reader may love it. It's all in the eye of the beholder.
