Quite simply, Rob McClure is Chaplin. Either he was born to play this part or he is just that good. I saw the live show at the Barrymore
and then bought the CD. Both were excellent. Rob McClure is a future superstar of stage and screen. The actors, including the
child actors, were well-cast and did an outstanding job. The show opens with McClure on the high wire and then gets even better from
there. The CD is true to the show, although shortened. CD track 17 is McClure's moment and he makes the most of it. Sadly the show
had a short Broadway run, but will live again on the road. The show and the CD are not to be missed.

All Music Guide - Matt Collar
Chaplin: The Musical features the original Broadway cast recording of the 2012 production based on the life of legendary comedic actor/director Charlie Chaplin. Written by Thomas Meehan with music and lyrics by Christopher Curtis, the show featured Rob McClure in the lead role along with Jim Borstelmann, Jenn Colella, Erin Mackey, Michael McCormick, Christiane Noll, Zachary Unger, Wayne Alan Wilcox, and others. The musical details Chaplin's life beginning as a youth growing up in poverty in South London, his success and controversial career in early Hollywood, and his final last days in exile living in Switzerland.
