The Gold-Standard Manual of Seamanship Chapman Piloting & Seamanship is the bible for boaters--it has been the go-to guide concerning all things nautical for nearly a century. This new edition does a wonderful job of maintaining the organization of previous editions while providing the most up-to-date information. Every boater should keep a copy of this book on hand as it covers any practical and technical questions you may have. This tome is a little clumsy for reference while on the seas, but it remains the most comprehensive book on the subject to date. An essential book for all boaters.
