Comic Books Restore has assembled 50 original plates in a new, adapted format (8'5 x 8'5). This book is a collection of 50 comic strips in the series "Charley Chaplin's Comic Capers", edited in 1916.
Here, for the first time, restored and new lay-out by Comic Books Restore ! His first comic strips were inspired by the Charles Chaplin films he saw while working as a projectionist in a movie theater. Richard Felton Outcault encouraged him to send his drawings to the press, and in 1916 he published his first plates of Charlie Chaplin's Comic Capers in the Chicago Herald. Two years later, in 1918, Segar switched to the Chicago Evening American, for which he created his Looping the Loop series.
