I have read all of Leonard Scott's books, I have gone through Basic Training and Airborne Training, He tells it like it is. Definately a no holds barred, action packed book with a very unique view from the enemy that gives the reader an idea about what the enemy is fighting for and what drives him. A great read every time.

This was a pretty good book. The only thing was that it reminded me a lot about Ranger School!!! I'm pretty keen on his writing style, oh, that's an understatement, and The Hill is just as good!! I'm looking forward to more!

This is one of my favorite books not only by this author but of all my other reads. Highly suggest for everyone to read other books by this author including The Last Run, The Expendables, and many others. Great reads.

I had the privilege of attending Jump School, when LTE Leonardo was in command. His philosophy and demeanor are exactly like his books. Good stories about the men who serve, and the women who love them. Rangers Lead The Way!

My third time reading this book (first two were in paperback format). I love the book but dealing with mispelled words in the Nook version is discouraging. Can you say SPELL CHECK?

i recived this book while serving over sea's with the army in 1985. I will tell you it was hard to put down Scott's book, because he keeps you interested through out the whole story and he makes you feel your part of the unit. Scott also up keeps the ranger tradition alive and well. Hu Ra

This book gives a glimpes into the day to day life of An Army Ranger Unit. Best by far I have ever read, although this is fiction it is still great reading.

Leonard Scott is an author who takes me back to my time in Vietnam. His authentic descriptions and development of characters is commendable, and he never fails to write a page-turner of a book. Charlie Mike is a great read.

I think this book is outstanding it has love, war, and revenge. It shows how the major loves his man like his sons. More then any eles he loves Dove.

'Charlie Mike' came out while Col. Scott was commander of the Airborne School at Ft. Benning, GA in 1985. It hit the shelves while I was in the Airborne School - good for sales! I learned a little of what had gone on in the past to make the men who were teaching me to be a soldier. That helped me to give the very best performance of which I was capable. And Col. Scott, for all his heroism, was a genuine person - he came and talked and autographed our books for us. It was a privilege to work with a man who had experienced what he did. 'Charlie Mike' tells the story as it really was - no psychobabble, no facades, no phoniness. Just real men doing a real job.

It has a good in depth plot with views from both sides of the war. I would recommend it to everyone.

i read this book for a class project in my senior year in high school. the first page really gets your attention, from there on out your hooked. i ablolutely loved this book. i had to do a book talk in my class, while doing this talk, i almost made several students cry because of the report that i gave. i told about the intensity of the book, and how the author describes the characters. my teacher is now reading the book, and she is in love with it already. i would rocommend this book to all who enjoy reading about the war.

This was the first book that I ever picked up outside of High School and it made me one of Col. Scott's biggest fans. This book has everything in it that you want in a book. It captures you from page 1 and don't let go even after it ends. This book leaves you wanting more! A must read for all military minded people.

This is a very good book showing both sides of the Vietnam War. If I could change anything about this book it would be more action and less personal relationships. It's a good easy reader and worth every penny. I'll pass it on to a friend and order his other books in print.
