Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

"A wonderful, savvy, sexy and suspenseful romp. Ciotta has woven a terrific tale with characters to die for. This book will definetly leave you 'charmed.'"  —Jan Coffey, author, Triple Threat

"Four Stars! Gives readers a full quotient of fun and sexy excitement."  —Affaire de Coeur

Publishers Weekly
In Ciotta's enchanting contemporary romance, the sequel to Jinxed, FBI Agent Joe "Bogie" Bogart retains his friend Colin Murphy, a professional bodyguard, to protect Luciana "Lulu" Ross from a stalker with connections to organized crime. Guarding Lulu is complicated by Murphy's attraction to her zany innocence and her insistence that she continue her two jobs: performing as a princess at children's parties and juggling at a local casino. Retreating from her pledge to swear off men after a painful divorce, Lulu finds herself taking advice from her younger, more socially experienced (read: promiscuous) sister, Sofie, as she and Murphy embark on a fun and sexy affair. Humor is ever present in their relationship; at one point, Murphy rescues Lulu after she's drugged at a gay bar, and in another instance, he dons a troll suit to appear in Lulu's casino act at a pediatric ward. While Lulu's friends Rudy and Jean-Pierre, a gay couple, are charismatic characters, specific references to their relationship problems may be a turnoff for some romance fans. A suggestion of romantic tension between Sofie and Bogie paves the way for their tale to be told and, after reading this madcap romance, Ciotta's fans will undoubtedly look forward to that next installment. Adored it!
I just adored this fun, romantic, sexy tale with a quirky heroine and a yummy man. I am a sucker for a heroine that is messy, can't cook,
and full of joy.  Lulu is just so very much herself. She has a great job and believes in herself and all those she loves. Colin is awesome.
He is a brooding bodyguard type who recognizes a good thing when he sees it in Lulu.  I love that in a man.  They are both wonderful
people but human enough that they seem real. This is a madcap romantic comedy with a little bit of suspense weaved in with some real
emotional stepping stones.  The secondary cast is excellent and there is a wonderful secondary romance that looks like it will be
    develop over the series.

I liked this book so much that when my loan for it ran out on my Kindle, I bought it, right then, half way through. I knew I would want to
reread it and had to finish it.  This is not a realistic romance suspense plot if you are looking for that but it is a good time.

If you are looking for a the warm happys and grin, pick this one up!  I know I will be reading the whole series and other books by this
     writer.

    Charmed

'Charmed' is an enchanting romance that will pull you in from the first page. With quirky characters, a fun romance, suspense and lots of humor, Ciotta has scored another hit with this book. The unusual setting was so vivid I felt like I was right there in Atlantic City!

Beth Ciotta's second novel is a wonderful combination of romance, suspense, and humor! The characters are quirky but endearing, and you really care what happens to them. Charmed

Beth Ciotta's second novel is an enchanting one! Full of humor, quirky characters, romance and suspense, this one is a real page turner. I loved the characters--they were both real and appealing. The setting was unusual and she made it so real I felt like I was right there in Atlantic City. The pacing was great and I was riveted.

This book will Charm your heart!

Beth Ciotta does it again with another captivating, entertaining humorous romance. I fell in love with LuLu, Murphy and their friends and was totally caught up in their adventures (and some misadventures, too!) Casino entertainer/storybook kiddy-heroine Lulu is the most fresh, original and endearing character I've seen in years. Murphy is a to-die-for hero. It's also great to read the continuing story of Rudy and Jean-Pierre, introduced in the author's earlier book Jinxed. Endearing, funny and thrilling, Charmed is one for the keeper shelf!

    Whimsical romance

His best friend FBI undercover agent Joe ¿Bogie¿ Bogart sends bodyguard Colin Murphy a message that the princess needs protection from abduction in of all places Margate, New Jersey. Not understanding what is going on or why a princess is even in Margate; Colin heeds the request and goes to protect Luciana ¿Lulu¿ Ross................................. Colin sees Lulu dressed in a fairy tale princess costume as she performs at children events during the day; he thinks she is cute. She believes he is the latest broken hearted boyfriend of her sister Sofia crying on her shoulders instead of his pals or her sibling. Colin soon learns that the Princess works at a casino in the evenings, which he concludes is the most likely spot where the Bogie undercover connection and related silence occur. Still Colin struggles to keep Lulu safe from an unknown assailant who even slips ecstasy in her drink while waiting for more information from Bogie. Still she rejects his theory that she is in danger except with her heart as her personal protector and the princess fall in love......................... This romantic suspense grips the audience from the moment a bewildered Colin arrives in Margate to protect the Princess from what he assumes is the mob based on the vague say so of his ¿brother¿. The story line never slows down as Lulu realizes that Colin is there for her and not her sister though she wonders why her. Though the stalker comes out of left field, fans will feel CHARMED by this fine contemporary tale of love between the Princess and her knight as Beth Ciotta avoids the second book jinx........................
