“Charmed” has now become one of my favorite books. Lindy Zart has completely blown me away with this story. This book was not what I was expecting at all, it was funny, charming and heartfelt at the same time. The chemistry between the characters and the flow of the story was absolutely amazing.
Taryn is adopted, feels lonely, and unlucky. She hates celebrating her birthdays and her 18th birthday is one that will change her life forever. This is the day that Taryn meets Shah and Creed. They are two mysterious men and both of them scare her; but she’s scared of them for two completely different reasons. One seems evil and the other crazy. Is it easier to trust a man who scares you or one who seems delusional? Either way she must make a choice because both men are after her and one of them will get her. Who will she surrender to? Taryn life is suddenly turned upside down and has her questioning who and what she really is. How much trust can you give to someone you just met? Taryn learns that the survival of the world rests on her shoulders. She must fight to save the ones she loves before it’s too late. Will she be able to accept who she is in order to do what needs to be done? When past secrets are revealed will it aide her in her mission or will it cause more destruction?
I recommend this book to anyone looking for a light paranormal read. “Charmed” is funny and full of suspense, adventure, action, romance and has heartfelt moments in all of the right places. I look forward to reading the next this book in the series and other books by the Author. If this book is any indication of Lindy Zart’s writing talent she has an amazing road ahead of her. This is definitely the book to read, you will not be disappointed.

Lindy Zart's Charmed is a creative twist on the supernatural. There are hints and influences of some of our favorites but the author definitely owns her own story and draws the reader in. Just when you think you know what's happening, you don't. The author writes in a way that flows for you and you don't even know you are reading- a story is simply unfolding. As soon as I was finished, I went on to the next book.

I got this book a couple weeks ago for my Kindle. It took interesting enough, so I put it up towards the top of my "TO READ" list (some books end up on the list for years). Finally, about a week after I got it, I decided to read it. It helped that I was heckled by Tawnya. I read the first paragraph and sighed - convinced I just got myself into some silly teen drama that I'd have to force myself to read. I'll admit, I put off reading the book for a couple days because of it. ...but then I started it. Actually started it.

One word to explain what happened once I passed page one: DAMN. That's right, I said it. I had to force myself to put the book down a few times, because I swear I stopped breathing in certain parts. (Lindy Zart is obviously trying to kill me, just want you all to know this)

All and all, it was a great story. Truly it was. I was able to get into the characters, and I liked them. They felt real.

I would like to see more about this series... maybe a prequel *hint hint*.

I enjoyed Charmed from cover to cover. Enjoyed, doesn’t really even encompass the way I felt while reading Charmed. Taryn had me hooked with her story by the end of the first chapter and her dislike of surprises and birthdays. She was instantly relatable and I loved her from the get go (sometimes, it takes me a while to like some female characters)! Then Lindy Zart introduces Creed. This jaw droppingly gorgeous manang sent to protect Taryn and his mix of nonchalant yet protective nature only increases his swoon factor. Oh, and you won’t stop falling in love there. Wait till you meet Luke who gives Creed a run for his money and soon you’ll be stuck in the book hangover debate of which one you love more. I still can’t decide…Personally, I’ll take one of each. Every time you think you figured something out, Lindy surprises you with another twist.
Every character throughout the entire story displays their own development and growth, each one also contributes to the overall plot, keeping you intrigued. There’s Mora, Eli, Reece, Shah and more who add their own flare and twists to the plot line. Lindy commands her character’s beautifully throughout and will capture your attention with the fast paced thrill ride that is Taryn’s charmed life. Although there were a couple spots where I thought some moments passed to quickly or maybe I thought Taryn’s reaction should exuded more emotion, it doesn’t affect the flow or story as a whole.
There really is a spot I’d like to talk about and a couple characters but I don’t want to spoil any of the awesome parts for you! Lindy goes as far as to introduce a third character who will seek his own attention from your heart strings.
Overall I loved this book and am already anticipating reading book two (Charmed Again). Lindy Zart definitely Charmed me with the first novel in this series. The plot line was constant and engaging throughout the entire tale. She wove a flawless story and there weren’t any contradictions considering the world building Lindy accomplished. Her world involving the Charmed, Manangs and Deadeyes came alive through her use of detail. Lindy used her talent for description and dialogue to bring her world alive through Taryn and the rest of the cast. Every page was a treat and I found myself on the edge of my seat and daydreaming outcomes when I was stuck sitting in class.
I loved this book. If you haven’t read Lindy Zart’s books, you need too. Seriously, be Charmed. She’ll wrap you around her finger by the end of the first chapter. Lindy kept me guessing (and wishing) until the very end.

I...hmm. I don't even know where to start with Charmed. I guess I'll start with saying that I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

    Ok...that said. Here we go.
Cover. Part of the reason I jumped at the chance to read this book is the cover. It drew me in.
If you're looking for a book that will draw you in, as the cover does, than Charmed is it!

Characters. This is the first book in a long time that I have truly been confused by a menage-choice of men. Even after having read it, I'm not sure who I would choose - Luke or Creed. As a general rule, the first man to appear in books with redeeming qualities, is the one who wins my heart. Lindy did such a fantastic job of truly conveying the heartbreak that would occur when faced with two men that are both fantastic, that you are tied to, and that you have feelings for. My heart ached for Taryn at different times, for the utter guilt put on a woman when she cares too much. In such a short amount of time, you develop feelings for all involved.

The time frame of this book did confuse me a little bit at times. It seemed to move quite fast for me...which works for the book, and the situation. If you're abruptly plucked from your life, into a new one you never knew existed, everything would be a whirlwind. So though I did get confused on occasion, it totally fit, and is completely appropriate.
There are plenty of twists that surprise the reader in this, and I think they're lovely!

With everything that happens in this plot, I will be honest, I felt true anxiety!
My Kindle died at 2am in the middle of a big part, and I ended up dreaming up different outcomes of the book.

Lindy is on my list as one to watch out for! SO promising, and I can't wait to read "Charmed Again"!

    Let Charmed, charm you!

    Great book

Taryn has never had good birthdays. When she was younger her pet died on her birthday. When she turns 18 and is ready to move into an apartment with her friend disaster strikes.
She finds out she is Charmed and will fight evil and save two worlds. This is a lot for her to handle; but she makes it thru these trials.
If you are looking for a genuinely unique read try this book.

Very imaginative, very funny, and just awesome! I love Taryn...and her feelings for the two men she is connected to. Luke is a dreamboat, in my opinion. The revelation of Skye was awesome and the bit about her father made me tear up. Great story, had to buy the second as soon as I finished!

The story was not too bad however i was quite confused during most of the book. It did keep me enthrawled but more because of curiousity. Im kind annoyed with being brutally honest with this book because it has so many good bits and also is brilliantly written that being said i did enjoy the book and would recommend it.
