I've read all of Ms. Ryan's books and each one is better than the last. Jordan & Matt are a lovely match and it's fun to watch their relationship develop. My one and only issue - areas where law enforcement and politics are involved don't come across as realistic. A little more research applied in these areas would make the story more plausible. I'll definitely keep reading all of the author's works and continue to watch her writing talents grow. Super hot love scenes and how much the characters care for each other comes across loud and clear. I look forward to finding out what happens to all the Cooper brothers!

for all you paranormal and romance readers out there, this is one book you don't want to pass up. jordan comes back home with one thing on her mind that is to pack up and sell her grandmother's house, she is ready to leave again as soon as possible, but little does she know that the love she left behind still is there waiting for her, what to do next? i can wait for the next one to come out.

I love other series by this author so I tried this new series. Carrie Ann Ryan created a quaint town filled with real women, not those stick fake kind , one with curves, flaws, and hurt. Mixed them with the Cooper Brothers and its a recipe for a great new series. Wish I could go to Holiday...

If you have just joined thanks! But if not- hi!

The story was very abrupt, not very detailed. I never connected with the characters and felt like the story jumped forward to fast. The witty banter was cute though.

“Jordan Cross might be a witch, but she wasn’t a pointy-hat-wearing, card carrying member of the green-skinned race.”
I loved that line. It gives you a look at the heroine underneath the insecure young woman. This is the same woman who, with a little more self-confidence, will eventually snub her nose at the residents of Holiday, Montana and their hateful attitude. Although, in my opinion, Jordan's self-confidence seems a long time in coming. Jordan seems more willing to stand up for her new friends than she is to stand up for herself. Which is why I found Halloween so funny. I have to admit to getting a kick out of her dressing up as a “pointy-hat-wearing, card carrying member”, minus the green skin, of the witch race for Halloween. That’s the kind of spunk I expected from a heroine that has a bunch of hunks like the Cooper brothers in her corner.
And Lord what a bunch of hunks they are. Although short on the descriptive details on any of the Cooper brothers other than Matt, each brother’s personality shines through in every appearance. From the strong silent Jackson to ladies man Tyler; I can’t wait to meet the women who deserve nabbing herself a Cooper.
However, I digress. This is Matt and Jordan’s story. And what a story it is. It’s the story of first love and how it never really goes away. Fear drove Jordan away and tragedy brought her back. Now it’s up to Matt to remind her how good they were together and try to convince her to stay. I absolutely loved how sweet they were and how Matt rekindled what they had by doing little things. They didn’t just jump into a physical relationship. They became friends again. Went out on dates... held hands... had hot make-out sessions on the couch, like they did as teenagers when they first fell in love. What woman wouldn’t want to be romanced in the sweetest of ways?
The fact of the matter is that it’s all about the spark. Characters either have it or they don’t. In this case, they definitely do.

This is a great story to open up the Holiday, Montana series. I enjoyed getting to know the main characters and the rest of the Cooper brothers. Yes, there are 5, super sexy, Cooper Brothers. This story is about coming to terms with who you are, dealing with the past, and true love. Carrie Ann Ryan you have another satisfied reader :) I can't wait to read the next book in this amazing series.
