Overview

Jordan Cross has returned to Holiday, Montana after eleven long years to clear out her late aunt’s house, put it on the market, and figure out what she wants to do with the rest of her life. Soon, she finds herself facing the town that turned its back on her because she was different. Because being labeled a witch in a small town didn’t earn her many friends...especially when it wasn't a lie.

Matt Cooper has lived in Holiday his whole life. He's perfectly content being a bachelor alongside his four single brothers in a very small town. After all, the only woman he'd ever loved ran out on him without a goodbye. But now Jordan’s back and just as bewitching as ever. Can they rekindle their romance with a town set against them?

Warning: Contains an intelligent, sexy witch with an attitude and drop-dead gorgeous man who likes to work with his hands, holds a secret that might scare someone, and really, really, likes table tops for certain activities. Enough said.

    Wonderful!

I've read all of Ms. Ryan's books and each one is better than the last. Jordan & Matt are a lovely match and it's fun to watch their relationship develop. My one and only issue - areas where law enforcement and politics are involved don't come across as realistic. A little more research applied in these areas would make the story more plausible. I'll definitely keep reading all of the author's works and continue to watch her writing talents grow. Super hot love scenes and how much the characters care for each other comes across loud and clear. I look forward to finding out what happens to all the Cooper brothers!

Quickly became one of my new favorite author

I love other series by this author so I tried this new series. Carrie Ann Ryan created a quaint town filled with real women, not those stick fake kind , one with curves, flaws, and hurt. Mixed them with the Cooper Brothers and its a recipe for a great new series. Wish I could go to Holiday...

    Ghosts never looked so good

I loved that line. It gives you a look at the heroine underneath the insecure young woman. This is the same woman who, with a little more self-confidence, will eventually snub her nose at the residents of Holiday, Montana and their hateful attitude. Although, in my opinion, Jordan's self-confidence seems a long time in coming. Jordan seems more willing to stand up for her new friends than she is to stand up for herself. Which is why I found Halloween so funny. I have to admit to getting a kick out of her dressing up as a “pointy-hat-wearing, card carrying member”, minus the green skin, of the witch race for Halloween. That’s the kind of spunk I expected from a heroine that has a bunch of hunks like the Cooper brothers in her corner.

And Lord what a bunch of hunks they are. Although short on the descriptive details on any of the Cooper brothers other than Matt, each brother’s personality shines through in every appearance. From the strong silent Jackson to ladies man Tyler; I can’t wait to meet the women who deserve nabbing herself a Cooper.

However, I digress. This is Matt and Jordan’s story. And what a story it is. It’s the story of first love and how it never really goes away. Fear drove Jordan away and tragedy brought her back. Now it’s up to Matt to remind her how good they were together and try to convince her to stay. I absolutely loved how sweet they were and how Matt rekindled what they had by doing little things. They didn’t just jump into a physical relationship. They became friends again. Went out on dates... held hands... had hot make-out sessions on the couch, like they did as teenagers when they first fell in love. What woman wouldn’t want to be romanced in the sweetest of ways?

The fact of the matter is that it’s all about the spark. Characters either have it or they don’t. In this case, they definitely do.

The first book in the Holiday Montana series is a fast captivating read full of romance, intrigue, and a witch.
Jordan is a witch and she has come back to the town that persecuted her for it to settle her late aunt’s estate.  Matt is boy she left behind when she ran and he still loves Jordan, but he has a secret that he doesn’t know how to explain.
The suspense builds as the some of the towns people try to get Jordan to leave town again.  The author conveys the tension so well that the reader is feels like they are in the story with Jordan and Matt as they try to uncover the mystery of what happened to him.
The romance between the two is well written with some red hot sex and the author portrays their emotions as they come to terms with the past and their feelings for each other in a way that the reader connects to the characters.
The plot flows smoothly from one scene to the next and keeps the reader’s attention from beginning to end with intrigue and bewitching characters. This story of romance, old and new friendships and second chances has a couple of surprises and unique and fun elements as well that keeps things interesting. I just wish it had been longer and I can’t wait to read more about the town of Holiday, Montana.

Welcome to Holiday, Montana. The place where the holiday spirit is a spirit and being called a witch is not just an insult. If your Jordan Cross being a witch could cost you your life. Which is why she left town years earlier. The only reason she returned now was to clean up her grandmother's house to clean it up from the vandalism of small minded townspeople and put it on the market to sell it quick. Then she is going to shake off the dust of Holiday and never look back again.

Then she runs into Matt Cooper, her high school boyfriend and the love of her life. The lines of flight or stay begin to blur. Stacey Prescott and her brother, , the mayor begin to stir up trouble and resentment against Jordan. The end will make you gasp, as will the fast paced events in the story itself. You will not want to miss the first installment of Carrie Ann Ryan's Series Holiday Montana. I am looking forward to reading book 2, Santa's Executive. Even the blurb makes me itch to begin.

Stop on by Holiday, Montana today and meet the Cooper boys and some of the interesting people who make up the town. Like most small towns, there are good and bad. Luckily the good out number the bad.

I really enjoyed the first book in the Holiday, Montana series. The Cooper brothers are so HOT!! They are a close family, but they all keep a secret from each other. Jordan, Matt's old flame, returns to Holiday and things start to get real interesting.

Jordan is a natural witch that comes from many generations of women in her family, she couldn't take the townsfolk mentality of who she was 11 years earlier. She took off never looking back, at the man she loved and was high school sweethearts with or her grandmother.

Jordan's grandmother passes away rather quickly and arrangements were put together by the Cooper family.
She returns to only clean up and sell her grandmother's home. But will she have a change of heart and what will happen...

Personally the book was another great read by Carrie Ann Ryan, one that I really enjoyed and looking forward to reading more from this author.

The book was a solid 5 star read to me.
